    I arrived the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and was greeted by a most courteous staff. Everyone was kind and very attentative to detail. I never had to ask for help, because I was constantly asked May I help you.. They assisted me in booking my tours, making dinner reservations and anything else I needed. The ourside restuarant brought food and drinks to me on the beach.. The spa was amazing and clean.. When I needed a taxi they got one for me right away. I can't imagine ever being treated any better.. Thank you Le Meridien and staff for a most memorable experience. Oh one more thing, I was on vacation ALONE and they did everything in their power to make me feel safe and secure in my travels.. I WILL visit them again!!

    The Le Meridien Cancun hotel was less than the expected 5 star hotel. The main drawbacks for me were that the beach was under water, and the restaurant offered average tasting food in very small portions and high prices. The service was inconsistent - good only half of the time.

    Despite being a last minute trip (planned 2 weeks prior) this has been our best vacation in Mexico. We've visited Cabo and Puerto Vallarta and both times stayed at RIU resorts. This time, we opted to stay at a hotel and we couldn't be happier with our choice in staying at the Le Meridien. We loved the boutique feel, the property was incredibly clean and well maintained. We were glad the hotel was not crowded which we attributed to being off-peak. Room: we had a great view of the ocean despite being on the construction side which was not noisy as mentioned in previous reviews, our bed was incredibly comfortable, we especially liked the slippers provided in the room. From the moment we arrived, we received personalized service. My luggage hadn't arrived when we landed and the concierge and bellmen were more than willing to follow-up with the airline and delivered it to our room upon arrival. All of the staff greeted us by name. The doorman and concierge were very knowledgeable and made great recommendations about the locale--from activities, to the corner market, to advice about the bus. The waitstaff at the pool and on the beach remembered our orders from the previous day. We had breakfast at the restaurant and ordered room service a few times, each time the food was excellent, not like the mediocre buffet-style food we had at the all-inclusive resorts. We found that we saved money paying for our own meals and drinks in comparison to the all-inclusive resorts. On our last night, my husband called down for a wake-up call. They offered to make a second call to assure our early-rise and had a continental breakfast delivered to our room despite the room service being closed at 4am. AMAZING!

    true 5 star, great amenities, extremely clean, very professional and friendy staff, plus we were lucky to get a great rate (breakfast included), for $* extra per night we upgraded from continental breakfast to buffet, and it was fantastic, loved the Juevos Rancheros plus lots of other Mexican foods followed by great deserts (pastries made in the hotel). Their restaurant Ayoli was also great, although a bit pricy, but after 20% discount for hotel guests, it would become more affordable, and that discount was in fact for real. Their other restaurant by the pool also had great food with the same 20% guest discount. I can go on and on for ever. certainly recommend Le Meridian to everyone who wants to have a nice quiet / romantic time in one of the most beautiful beaches in the planet. It's also a very child friendly place, quite nice & classy, certainly not like one of those all inclusives, that fill your vacation up all the way with cheap food and alcohol.

    The welcoming was great at this hotel. But make sure that the hotel has no events planed at the time of your stay. When we first arrived everything was wonderfull. by the 3rd day there was a wedding that was bocked for Saturday. The day prior all the wedding guest were by the pool drinking and beeing seved by the waiters. All the othere hotel guest were left without any service. We were never told by the staff that we could not order anything at this time. We waited for 3 hours for someone to come and attend to us. Once the pre-wedding drinks by the pool were done. It was too late for us to order anything (this is what the manager told us). This was an awful experience. Someone should of at least had the curtesy to come and tell us what is going on or why they could not attend to us as well. Remember to tip the waiters they seem to get upset when you don't. Bad service on their part.
