Why they put us in the room directly next to the elevators for a 4 night stay -- I don't know. It literally sounded like a roller coaster was running next to our room constantly -- all day and all night. They offered to move us - but why put us there in the first place with a longer stay? Once you get everything put away, moving is very difficult. On the good side, it was in a good location and a nice place for a small conference.

The price was great and the hotel rooms were fine. The hotel had a good location. We could walk easily south to the Eaton center area and north to Yorkville and Prince Arthur/Cumberland. We were a couple of blocks from the Younge/College subway stop. The room was clean and there were a couple of chairs with a table so we could snack in the room. The exercise room was adequate. There were a number of elliptical machines, treadmills and a stairstepper. The weights were adequate as well. The staff were polite and accomodating. Overall, we had a very good experience and would consider staying there on our next trip to Toronto.

I stayed 1 night in July 2008. I found the hotel staff to be very accomodating. The room was not luxurious, but adequate, comfy and clean. I was satisfied with the rate I paid ($*/night). Although I checked out at noon, I was allowed to keep my car in the underground garage until 5 PM without paying an additional fee. In other words, I parked for 2 days in the hotel garage and only paid the rate for 1 day ($*). The hotel's location is good, close to the theatre district, ballpark, shopping.

The Sutton Place staff was a tremendous help. They provided everything that we needed. They suggested wonderful places to visit and dine, provided any directions that we needed, and exchanged our American currency for Canadian. Their onsite restuarant was a little pricey and did not offer a huge variety of items. It would definitely not be great for kids. We did order room service for breakfast and it was phenomenal. It was quick and delicious. The rooms were large and clean. The beds were very comfortable. We did experience a little noise from our neighbors one night and for the price we paid, this was a little aggravating. I think there were WAY too many people in their room. We left our keys in the desk drawer and did not discover this until we had landed at our airport back home. The housekeeping staff was very gracious in finding our lost keys and mailing them to us. The staff absolutely makes this place great.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The clerks at the front desk were rude and unfriendly. The room was old and dirty when we arrived and smelled of smoke (it was a non-smoking room). We had to call housekeeping each day to replace dirty glasses and restock toiletries. When we arrived we were told that parking was free, but a $25/day charge shows up at the end. Concierge was not helpful what-so-ever. I would never stay here again and recommend nobody else does either.
