Although the room was very small, it was clean and nicely remodeled. It was crowded in the check in area and only one person working, but they handled it very well. The walk to the beach was great and it included the beach pass. We would go back just to use that beach.

The Best Western Station House Inn is a true gem in South Lake Tahoe. I almost hesitate to write a review, because I'd like to keep this find to myself. The setting towards the lake is beautiful, you easily forget that you are close to the Heavenly gondola, Hwy 50, the casinos - But those are all just a few hundred yards away. The hotel itself is nice, and the restaurant is the best I've been to in South Lake Tahoe. Dinner is an almost-in-San-Francisco experience, and breakfast is great.

I booked this hotel direct and got the best rate. I am a senior and breakfast was included. It was late and snowing when I arrived and I ate at the hotels restaurant it was excellent. The staff at both the hotel and restaurant are very accommodating. I asked for a quiet room and they put me up in a large corner room with beautiful bedding and a comfortable bed. The hotel was well taken care of. It snowed the whole time I was there. I would reccommend this hotel for everyone.

This is a great little hotel with a wonderful location, easy walking distance to either Lake Tahoe or to the downtown activities and casinos. It is located off of the busy Route 50, in the midst of a residential neighborhood. We have traveled all across the country, and this was hands-down the cleanest hotel room we have ever stayed in. The plasma television was marvelous, linens were top quality. To my wife and I, the room was warm and cozy, but to a family, it would probably seem small. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Our only complaint was the king-sized bed. It was a very soft mattress that did not provide the kind of firmness and support we both need and are accustomed to in hotel rooms. With a better mattress, this room would have been perfect.

This hotel surpassed our expectations. The beds were extremely comfortable - as were the pillows. Very quiet location, yet close to amenities. The restaurant is fantastic! We had an excellent dinner there. Quiet ambiance which you don't find very often any more. Perfect for that romantic dinner for two. Although there was a family dining as well, but there wasn't any intrusion on our privacy - a well laid out facility. Breakfast was included in our room fee and was offered at the same restaurant. You have your choice of anything on the menu or the breakfast special - all included! The room was very clean and well appointed. Friendly, helpful staff. We couldn't have asked for more.
