Well first time to Vail and loved it. We loved the place and love staff well most of it when we checked in there was a young man at the desk on the phone talking to some one. After about 8 minutes I started to listen to what he was saying well it was a friend on the other end and when my wife looked at hom to help us he looked at me and finally hung up the phone. He looked a her here realyu rude and asked me if I needed to check in. Well very nicely I told him she will be checking us in. Well after putting a little salt and pepper on his crow he checked us in. Our stay was very nice and the rooms were very clean. Were looking to go for christmas now.....

This was our third stay at the Racquet Club. Once was for a suberb wedding in the summer. Each time we have visited we have had a cozy condo with all the amenities. We especially like the fire place with wood provided. There is a stream that runs through the property, a heated pool, tennis courts and a staff that seems happy to see you. The bus stop to skiing is across the street. One of the best kept secrets of the Racquet Club is the Big Horn Bistro that serves excellent meals in a very pleasant setting. We will be back for the 4th of July concert at the Ford Pavilion.

No safe was provided. Our belongings were rifled through and money was taken. Because we booked through online travel website, they said there was not much they could do as far as a credit, etc. Now, I understand it is buyer beware with personal belongings, however, I have never, in all of my travels, ever had my belongings rifled through while we skiied. The money was in a wallet, in a closed purse, in a closed duffle bag, with dirty clothes on top, in a closed closet. In addition, other bags were gone through that did not contain money. That should be safe when you are paying close to $***/night. Their cleaning crew is contract and of course our room was cleaned by a new person. I truly believe if we would have made our reservation with a chain hotel, we would have received a credit for the amount missing or something. Free meal, I do not know. Guess I am not used to having my stuff stolen. But because we made the reservation through online travel website, they did not give us the loyalty/customer service that would have been provided to direct customers. Unfortunately, I have to give the staff a terrible rating because this lodging company hires this cleaning crew company. So I consider them to be staff of the hotel. However, the young lady who checked us in was amazingly nice. Just sad that she is getting lumped in with the bad eggs. And in these tough economic times, $***/night, plus money stolen, is not a good reputation to have. Even if it is Vail. There are plenty of other places to stay in Vail.
