My family absolutely loved staying at the Tamaya Resort! The ambience is wonderful! There was so much to do, my daughter had a great time swimming and going down the 2 story water slide (which was located inside an adobe pubelo). Our pets were welcomed by staff with their own "doggie bag" that contained dog snacks as well as doggie toys! We will definately stay here again!

This hotel has a lot to offer in activities and location. However there were a couple of things they did not do well. Short sheeted beds, unable to get dinner reservations for a 50th birthday. allowed room to become depleted of Toilet paper and charged an additional resort fee per day in addition to online room and taxes. Horse back riding was great and worth another trip.

We've had the pleasure of staying at the Hyatt Tamaya twice now. We've traveled the world over, and it is one of our favorite hotels ever. In our opinion, the service beats Four Seasons properties, and many high end hotels could learn valuable lessons here about how to treat guests. The hotel is very pet friendly (we selected it because we could take our little dog on vacation), the property is spotless, the Kiva Pool (for adults) is Zen-like, the Kids Pool has fun water slides, and the setting overall is completely unobtrusive and blends naturally to the surrounding landscape. Rooms are very comfortable, bathrooms well supplied, room service is great. Dining options are a bit limited, and the only minor complaint we had was with dinner in the Corn Maiden, which is supposed to be high end, but in our experience, was more comical than gourmet (our waitress, who was really sweet, had no clue, telling us the special had a 'red wine deduction', and I had to help her open our wine, since she did not know how to use a corkscrew). Brunch in the hotel's other restaurant, however, was out of this world fantastic, with very creative, interesting cuisine choices. We would go back to Tamaya in a heartbeat, and if we are graced with a windfall, would glady live there for part of the year!

This resort was fantastic everything you want for pleasure or business travel. They have golf, three pools, tennis courts, bikes, horseback riding, children's and family activities. The trail ends at the Rio Grande and is surronded by beautiful mountains. Hummingbirds whiz by all day feeding and they also have a beautiful hummingbird garden. The recreational activities include Native American breadmaking and adobe brick making. Some activities are free or included in the resort fee and some like the horseback riding are an additional charge. About 20 minutes from Albuquerque and 45 minutes from Santa Fe. The staff is awesome. Highily recommended. Only drawback if you have problems walking ask for a room close to the lobby. Our room was far from the lobby and it seemed to take a long time to get to the meeting rooms.

Wow!! We loved it. The only negative item about the Tamaya is that it is on the other side of the states then where we live. If this resort were located on the east coast this would be our family's vacation spot for years to come. The staff was beyond freindly, and helpful. The hotel was very clean - a major plus for me. The food was wonderful. Check in process was very smooth, with check out even smoother. I just can't say how happy we were with the Tamaya. We went during the winter so we did not get to experience any of the many activities that they have going on - however, there was one morning that there were people in one of the two heated pools (it was cold that morning too). The place is beautiful. Please don't even think twice - GO!!! While there go to the Tram - and visit the top - its breath taking.
I would visit again and I will tell anyone going to ABQ to stay here. Thank you Tamaya for making our stay as wonderful as it was. 5 stars!!!!!!!!
