Our experience was great! It's definitely a 5 star hotel, with full amenities. The rooms were small by American standards, but large by European ones. It is located in Dalkey, which is a southern suburb of Dublin. It's pretty easy to get to using the DART, which is Dublin's commuter rail. The ride takes about a half hour. There are directions on their website explaining how to get from the DART station to the hotel (basically you walk 10 minutes up the hill). The furnishings in the room were a little older, but elegant and clean. The bathroom was also nice, except that our shower was extremely hot for some reason. But I suspect that was just our room. Downstairs there is a nice bar, a large gathering area, and two restaurants. We only ate at the Dungeon, which despite its name is a nice upscale dining room. The food was a little pricey but good. We did not eat at the other restaurant, PJs, but the menu looked great... but very expensive. What else? The staff was very accommodating, and the concierge helped us book the Wild Wicklow tour, which picked us up at the hotel the next morning (excellent tour, btw). Dalkey Castle was interesting; they have live acting as if it's the middle ages, and the museum downstairs is good as well. And finally, once the day is done, the pub downstairs serves Guinness.
