I am staying in this hotel at the moment for a 3 days family weekend, with my whole family (wife, 2 sons, daughter). My experience so far is not very good. - sending up the suitcases from the car to our room took a mere 3 hours (from midnight arrival until 3AM when the last of the seven suitcases were delivered - bringing up the car from the valet parking took 30 minutes, even if I called from the room in advance - I just sent back a whole dinner to room service (still hurts..), as my steak was, well horrible, tasted just bitter. I felt I am drinking tonic water... Worth to mention that I normally eat everything and I do not recall one single occasion when I had to send back food during the last 10 years. - I booked a family suite, but I had to move to another rooms (2 single room opened together) due to a creaking sound from the window all night during our first night. The handyman came next day upon my request told me that this should be some structural damage and I should move to another room... Well, that's about a nice family weekend... I am not a happy customer and I do not recommend this hotel, even it is in a prime location in the downtown.

We spent a long weekend with our kids at the Delta Chelsea -- it's a great family hotel. The kids swimming pool and water slide is great and provided for much fun. The hotel restaurants are great. And the staff was really nice especially to the kids. I would definitely recommend it to anyone going to Toronto with kids.

We arrived at our hotel around 3PM during the day to check-in and had no problems. We were greeted nicely, and other than being informed about very overpriced parking (*dollars a day), we had no complaints. Upon entering our room, we were completed disgusted. The room was incredibly small, outdated, and the bathroom door did not even close. The TV was a little 17 inch, and the alarm clock was from 30 years ago when the numbers were actual plastic numbers flipping over. The patio door did not open, and the room had a very bad stench of some sort of smell. I immediately returned to the front desk and informed her of the problems with my room. She politely informed me that rooms booked online were usually given the 'budget' rooms and checked to see what else she had available. I made it very clear that the room we were given did not meet my expectations and that I wanted an upgrade, regardless of cost. After checking available rooms and naming a few of them off, I was 'upgraded' to a 'king deluxe' which was a more 'up to date' room, with modern furniture and a marble countertop in the bathroom. I have travelled and stayed in many hotels, and have never seen a room as outdated and just down right 'un-inviting' as the first room we got. I must say, just be sure you know what room you are booking. The pool, observation deck, and exercise room were very neat and clean. So was our room. Room service was fast and prompt, so was house keeping. The hotel is located centrally down town, and close to all the amentities.Other than our first room, and parking, I have no complaints whatsoever about this hotel. Would definitely stay again!

found the delta to be very family friendly. My family enjoyed both pools, and esp the slide. Lobby was perfect "says my 11 yr old son " and the food choices and lounge were very comfortable. most likely to return. Friendly enviroment room service quick most definitly our standard
