  In October of 2008, I had the opportunity to accompany my husband on a business trip to Singapore. My husband has stayed at The Regent several times before...this was my first and hopefully not my last! I arrived in Singapore a few days after my husband. After a LONG flight to get there, I was ready to get some rest. As the cab drove up to The Regent I was impressed by the"curbside appeal" very clean and upkept! As the doorman opened the cab door...He greeted me by name and said he was expecting me! The staff all spoke English so there were not communication barriers and very polite. Before I knew it I was in the room. The rooms are very well appointed, clean, and quiet! The refrigerator was stocked with water, cokes, snacks, and a mini-bar. We went out after my husband got back to the room..about a half a block away from the hotel was a nice little mall with a food court, french patisserie, and since I am a Starbucks junkie they even had a Starbucks..and it tasted just like home. We went for a walk down to Orchard Road (about 5 blocks away) all I can say is WOW!!! shopping paradise. The streets are clean, I never felt out of place or scared walking and exploring by myself during the following days. They have a great indoor jacuzzi indoors and workout room and a beautiful pool outdoors, but be forewarned the tile is black around the pool and under the sun on the equator the black tile will BURN your feet....so take your sandals with you!! Once at the pool the staff brought Ice water and friut kabobs. The breakfast buffet is beyond fantastic...they offer asian, fench and american cuisine! AWESOME HOTEL!!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Regent because of their staff. Every single one fo them smiled when they helped us and made us feel right at home. We especially enjoyed the membership to the Regent Club and all its ammenities. Thank you!
