Talk about a disaster or rather a series of disasters. My friend and I stayed for one night in August after booking thru Travel websitey. On checking in we found the front doorman to be intoxicated and obnoxious. Then we were given a room with one bed even though we were two women travelling together and weren't asked if we wanted one or two beds. I called down to the front desk to request a room with 2 beds and was told we both had to return to the lobby with all of our belongings. We were then assigned a different room which was right across from the inital room yet we had to bring all of our luggage down to the lobby only to end up across the hall from the first room. Parking was a disaster both in terms of hidden charges and services. They advertise valet parking but it was self-serve. I had to go to the parking garage to access my vehicle and was forced to climb over ladders and other obstructions to get to my car. I am happy to report the doorman on the night shift was helpful and sober but unable to locate the valet. These issues were put in a letter to head office with no reply. Consequently similar feedback was provided and again, no reply. There's lots of nice hotels in Seattle. Give this one a pass.

Desk clerk got us early check-in and a corner room with 2 windows on 7th floor. Very nice room, big TV, extremely comfy bed. Poor lighting in shower. Valet parking was $*. Man on the street yelling in middle of the night woke me up. Server at restaurant connected to hotel tried to give me $* less in change when I paid bill with cash. After return home, my next credit card bill showed Paramount charged us $* for the room. I had prepaid Travel website $*.

We stayed at The Paramount because it was close to the Paramount Theater, but it's also close to nearly all the places we wanted to see. The hotel is modern, clean and very functional for any reason you would choose to stay. My only complaint is that the front desk staff was not very friendly, and would not volunteer any information.

My friend, myself and my husband flew to Seattle for a Bears v. Seahawks game and had a great stay here. We filled our weekend with football, walking the market and strolling for live music and NW Ales. We entered the hotel to greet a convention of teenagers flirting and yelling about where their rooms were and adults yelling ""keep your voice down!"" The staff was calm and very polite. They made sure our rooms were not in the midst of a dorm area and we had a quiet stay. We had a great meal there one evening as well. CS, Boise
