  The hotel was very clean and service was very friendly. The food and drinks where great. This is the first time I have stayed in an all-inclusive hotel and I truley had no worries about anything. Recommend to anybody. Although one this was not so great was the beach even though the hotel has nothing to do with it. The beach was a little rocky toward the end of my stay and was hard to walk on with bare feet. If you go about 1-2 miles south, the beaches are less rocky with more white sand!!! Overall it was one of the best hotels I stayed in for a while.

  My family and I just returned from a week long vacation at the Buenaventura Grand Hotel, it was one of the most enjoyable stays I have had at a hotel in a long time. The location is minutes from the downtown area, but once inside the front doors you feel you are a million miles away, so relaxing and peaceful. The staff is wonderful and make you feel right at home. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and kept spotless at all times. I have barely unpacked my suitcase and I am already planning on another trip wtihin the next 6 months.

  This is the first time we stayed at the Buena Ventura and we will definitely come back for more.The food was excellent and the staff was eager to please.I would highly recommend the Brazilian steak house....GO HUNGRY! We couldn't finish the food.We had to stop them from bringing out all they wanted to.The hotel was perfectly located.

• Beyond My Expectations - Way Beyond!

  I was going for a low budget choice. I didn't really care what my room was like as I figured I wouldn't spend much time there anyway. I just wanted a good beach, a good pool, and close to downtown and the Malecon. Well, I was more than pleasantly surprised! This place is a great find. My room was on the second floor and I didn't have a view....well. not much anyway. Who cares? The room itself was very, very nice. It looked like it was recently remodeled. I do have two complaints. 1. The air conditioner struggled to keep up and ran continuously. It was cool enough and I didn't mind the ""white"" noise, so I didn't bother to ask for a different room. Like I said, I didn't spend much time there anyway. My other complaint is the wireless internet did not work at all. Not a huge big deal but kind of annoying. However, I've stayed at many stateside hotels and had this happen so it doesn't make me think any less of this place. That's it for the bad points. Now the good......like I said, the room and bathroom were very nice, new, and much better than I expected. The pool(s) were excellent, the grounds were perfect, and the beach was just right. The location was good, i.e., close to downtown and the Malecon and a supermarket. I only had the breakfast buffet, but it was EXCELLENT! Likewise, the service was exceptional. Both in the restaurant, at the pool, and on the beach, I never lacked attention. I was really impressed by this and I usually don't care about service. They had nice little touches too like vendor booths, massage, sunscreen applicators, activities in and around the pool, etc.

  My husband and I stayed @ the Westin and it was great...we even had some of my husbands family from Guadalajara stay and meet us there.. It was wonderful the staff is great, the rooms are great also.............anytime you go to Vallarta that is the place to stay...anytime we needed a Taxi they would take the Taxis' number and name of driver and our name and room number....made me feel safe...though at that time 1 year ago...I felt safe.....I love everything about PV......Planning on returning in JAN 2009
