Considering the prices of most hotel rooms in Victoria this hotel room was okay. I've stayed in better rooms, but as I said, it was okay for the price. There is a strip club on the back side and directly in front, so, you might reconsider a stay here if you have children.

Very nice room, unusual because of the hardwood floor instead of carpet, granite tile in the bathroom, very nice furniture - not your usual hotel ambiance. My room had a fridge, microwave and stove along with dishes and cutlery! Next to old railway track that was converted to a multi-use trail which leads directly to downtown - great for roller bladers. Near shopping mall and all fast food outlets and a short drive to downtown. Unfortunately, there is a liquor store on the premises which attracts some unusual characters out front. The strip club that was mentioned is around the other side and is not an issue, the issue is the liquor store. This place would be absolutely ideal if it wasn't for the liquor store!

Very nice room, unusual because of the hardwood floor instead of carpet, granite tile in the bathroom, very nice furniture - not your usual hotel ambiance. I reserved a room with 2 queen beds. Our room had 2 double beds. The room was tiny and very dark (40 watt bulb was the brightest light in the place). One bedspread had a strong, unpleasant odor and was torn.
Location was not as convenient as advertised. It was further from downtown than listed and the restaurant selection in it's vicinity was very weak.
We will avoid staying here again. -

I did not make it to this hotel. It is not 2-3 miles from the downtown attractions as advertised. In addition, it's above a strip club on Douglas street. I think that all travelers with families should know this before booking.
