I have been going to Cozumel for many years and alway stayed at a hotel just south of the Vallablanca that has a two and half star rating, which is only a half star more than the Vallablanca. I should have paid for the half of star. This is what I can say: the grounds well kept, ate breakfast there every morning it was OK, rooms where kind of clean very molding smelling (we spayed the AC unit with disinfectant). The staff just did not have a caring attitude that I have seen in most places in Cozumel I have been at before.

Didn't expect too much, we were looking for a cheap hotel to hang out at while on a diving trip. Because it's the slow season they upgraded us for free from a standard room to a suite. That was cool. Rooms had refrigerators, TV's, big bathrooms, and the beds were the softest in Mexico (ever other place the beds are like sleeping on rocks) We thought it was fine for what we paid for it. No problems at all.

This property we have stayed at 6 times!! It gets better every time. Some people gripe that it isn't "Directly ON the beach"t; but for the price, you can't beat it!! And all you have to do is cross the street and your at the beach!!!! And you've saved a ton of money and still have a great room! Love the staff too!!! In all the time we and our friends have come here, it's been the same staff so it's even greater!

Went on our honeymoon, couldnt even stay one night, dirty terrible a/c, cock roaches, no hot water, and we had just upgraded too! then they wouldnt give us a refund for the cash we just gave them to upgrade! took a big hit and got a new hotel!

Stayed here week of April 25th. Great service. We were upgraded to a Superior Room with an ajoining room so we could be close to our daughter's room. Grounds were beautiful. We were there to scuba dive. Loved location to Dive Shop and pier and Dive Mau gave us the best deal and the best divemaster ""Monkey"". Room was spacious and clean. Bottled water available and free. Maid service was VG. Not too impressed with onsite restaurant: Charged for hot water, rarely ate there. Would definitely return to this hotel. Free parking. Bring hairdryer.
