This was one of the best hotels we have ever stayed with, at one of the lowest prices we found in Melbourne. The hotel is beautiful and from the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The location is a bit difficult if you are arriving in your own vehicle. It sits on the corner of a very busy intersection and the drop off is not well marked. But once the staff knows you have arrived, they come outside to help you unload your vehicle, take all your luggage and valet your car (there is no public parking-so valet is your only option). As you enter the hotel, you realize you have stepped into 5 star quality. The rooms are incredibly large with high ceilings and big closets. The room has a kitchenette and washer/dryer combo and is kept impeccably clean. The concierge was whichever desk clerk was available, but all of them were extremely helpful with maps, suggestions, times, and a willingness to help with any need. You are within walking distance of lots of restaurants, shops, groceries, and the hop on/hop off Tourist Shuttle. We would definitely stay with the Sebel again. TIP: The Queen Victoria Market has everything you want to take home and extra luggage to get your new treasures there. Be sure to take a trip to Phillip Island for the Nobbies and the Penguin Parade. It's an experience you will never find anywhere else and are sure to never forget.
