Awesome Location. We went to the Cleveland Zoo and the Indians games. Just a few miles from the zoo and a 5 minute walk to the stadium. The desk staff and Bell Man where more than polite. Everyone seemed to always have a smile on their face. The room was very, very clean. We put in a request for the top floor and got it. The travel online package came with free internet and a $30 Breakfast credit. The Breakfast was a 4 Star experience. Great Food and Great service in a very historical building. The Hyatt has done a great job breathing life back into the Cleveland Arcade building. Parking for Valet was only $22. A great price for the area, with unlimited in and out. They even let us keep our car there the 2nd day till after the game free of charge. Over all this is a great hotel for both families and couples alike. We had a great time and will be sure to return next time in Cleveland.

Beautiful building, ugly front desk attitudes. Lovely rooms, uninspiring views. Nice place, but if you are looking for privacy, warmth and fuzziness, this hotel is not for you. Glass doors and windows facing the balconies, with drapes of course, but it seems someone is always walking by. This place has so much potential, but they seem to have put more emphasis on decor than on customer service or extras. Plastic plants hanging from the beautiful scroll-worked balconies are disappointing, cheesy to be more accurate. Live potted palms would bring some added class. Lots of internal noise at night, loud a/c system going on and off wakes you out of your sleep. Can hear water in pipes. Bring ear plugs. Bring plenty of cash. This place is no frills and no fun. There are no extras here like other comparable hotels. Bring your own cooler for drinks and bring snacks. Seriously. Bottled water in room is $5.00. Vending machines with cheaper bottles of water at $1.25 were conveniently empty. There are no stores around so if you need something like a soda or magazine to read, you are out of luck after 6 p.m. Not a lot of food around unless you go to the little trendy section where you'll spend a lot of money on mediocre food. Most of the shops inside of the hotel have gone out of business. I wonder why. NOT KID FRIENDLY, I REPEAT NOT KID FRIENDLY. Front desk staff told us, and I quote, downtown Cleveland is not for kids and people usually don't bring their kids to their hotel. Guess they don't want our business or that of our family and friends who want to visit Cleveland. Well, just as we were leaving , we saw two families checking in. Hmmm...

My fiance and I stayed here for an over night trip. The hotel and room was beautiful, no complaints there. One of the lamps was unplugged so we moved the chair over to plug it in. Under the chair was a used tampon! We were horrified and disgusted! After we called the front desk to complain, they were very quick to respond. They sent someone up to get rid of it, and the manager called back quickly to apologize, but only to offer us a bottle of wine! The room was not discounted any and they seemed to forget about the incident immediately.

My wife and I stayed at the Hyatt on our trip to the Cleveland museum of art for out 9th anniversary. I reserved a room with a king sized bed online a week before our stay and received an email that the booking was confirmed. Upon arrival we were told there were no king sized beds available, only rooms with two full sized beds. When I asked if the room would be discounted because of the change the woman at the desk stated, ""No, you already got a discount."" She was evidently referring to the lower price I was able to find online. I was then told to check back to see if a king became available due to a cancellation. When I checked back, the new woman at the front desk told me that there was no request for a king sized bed in my reservation, I showed her the email confirmation which clearly stated the request for a king and she told me that because I did not call and confirm my confirmation the room was not reserved. The room we were given was directly across from the soda and ice machines which saw a fair amount of business through the night. On the plus side, the room was very clean and the building is beautiful. The deserts we ordered from room service were wonderful. The most interesting observation is that all of the male employees have been courteous, knowledgable and friendly, where as all of the female employees have been curt, rude and unhelpful.

The hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The employees were mostly pretty friendly, though It did seem a little understaffed. The woman who was tending bar at the lounge was inattentive to us and one other couple in particular, to the point of rudeness. (No, we were not loud, drunk, or obnoxious. We sat quietly for several minutes waiting for the same degree of attention she was giving the other patrons.) We didn't know what her problem was, but she acted the same way both nights we were there. When we mentioned it to the clerk at check-out, she comped our drinks and said she would look into it. Some common amenities, like morning newspapers or free morning coffee, were not offered, but for the price it was no great hardship to do without them. We would definitely stay there again. The hotel is a short walk from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, which is very impressive. There is a Science Center next to the R&R Hall with a lot of interactive activities geared toward children. Cleveland in general seems to shut down early. There's a shopping center called The Tower about a 10 minute walk from the hotel, with a multiplex theater that shows current films in the afternoons and evenings. There is also a nearby (across the street) small bar/club district that stays open late. The House of Blues in particular was nice with great service and food. The downtown area is clean and safe.
