My family and I have returned year after year to this resort, and you couldn't ask for more! We missed the last 2 summers due to going to Disney, but we had to get back to Kings Island! You know you're at home when the staff at the front desk remembers your names, and when the wonderful waitress in the restaurant (Angie, you're the best!) asks where we've been for the last 2 years!!!! She remembered our names, and remarked on how old the boys were (she remembered their ages!) For anyone who loves amusement parks, and wants to feel at home, DO NOT HESITATE to stay here! They go over and above to make your stay everything you want it to be!

I know that over the years the resort ownership has changed probably more than once. When I was younger, I can recall fond memories of Kings Island, the park and the hotel experience. Now the only real thing it has to offer is a bus ride over to the park. I can only hope and pray that this was not a newly renovated room. The young ladies at the front desk were pleasant, too busy to entertain any requests for improvements, but that was more the fault of the lack-luster clientle that now targets this type of resort. The first thing I noticed about the room is that all of the drawers of the assembly type furniture were off the tracks and hanging out of the desk and tv stand. An easy fix for house keeping or a maintenance person who cared. The bathroom was in ill repair, leaky faucets ;the hot control in the shower was actually too hot to touch without using a washcloth broken and mildew covered tile and grout; I actuall yhad to reattach the shower head. After a trip to the local CVS for a bottle of fantastic, the bathroom was now a conventional indoor facility at best. The pool was closed, probably cause some redneck kid mistook it for a bathroom. The bottom line was that this was a very below average experience and have had better experiences at the local super 8 or baymont for half the price. I thought I would get an oppertunity to express my issues at check-out, just disapointed not looking for a free night or anything, but to my suprise... not one employeee asked how my stay was. Resort = Great Wolf Lodge. For clean sleep look economy elsewhere!!

I stayed at this hotel for a conference that was being held at the hotel. This is a nice hotel. The one picture they have on here doesn't do it justice. It wasn't quite warm enough to enjoy a lot of the activities here but I could tell they have a lot going on. The Indoor pool was one of the best I have been in. It was warm and comfortable. There are two game rooms for the kids to enjoy, a sand volleyball court, a large pond with benches around it to sit and relax, and a tennis court, I think. Everything is reachable without going outside of the hotel for majority of the rooms. So you don't have to walk in the rain or snow, for example, if it applies at the time of your stay. Coaster's Sport's Bar and Grill has a nice rustic, fun atmosphere to it. There are pool tables and Count Down Trivia on the TV's like they have at a lot of Damon's and Buffalo Wild Wings locations. The lobby is big with a huge TV and comfy couches. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel that I think they need to revamp or something to make it bigger is the gift shop. It is very tiny for such a nicer hotel and so many other activities. I expected more out of it. The security is good in the fact that no one without a room key card can enter the facility other than through the main lobby. You can also have access to your vehicle through a sliding glass door in your room if you are on the first floor. The conference room was okay although I didn't really care for the conference I attended there. Hotel was more exciting.

The hotel met our overall standards . The pool was so warm you thought you were in a hot tub. We didnt like that we had to take our laptop to the lobby to use their wireless wouldnt work in our room. The room was good minus the dryer that melted and the iron marks in the floor it is time for them to update their rooms. The staff was awesome very happy and helpful. The second day we were there it was so bsy in the pool area they had security walking around . We would stay there again if we went back to Kings Island . The staff for the shuttle service was awesome and very helpful .

  • cost/breakfast

If you are looking for a hotel with free breakfast this is not it. for the cost of the room it might have been nice to have this offered.
