What a great place to stay! Room was clean and comfortable and the staff couldn't be friendlier or more accommadating. Would definitely stay with them again. On site breakfast was delicious and well worth it. We liked the fact it was a smaller hotel and our room was easily accessable.

Ours was a last-minute booking as I decided to squeeze in some family time on a business trip.We were afraid we would have to just ;take what we could get . However, the motel was nice, our room was very roomy and comfortable, and we greatly appreciated the service and friendliness of the staff. We ended up staying five days and we would stay here again. Wish they had a swimming pool and better parking.

Took a weekend getaway with my husband in June 09. We were really leary about staying at a Best Western when we've had bad experiences before. This one was definately different. The staff was professional and courteous at all times even the cleaning crew. The hotel was always quiet. The king was unbelievably comfy, it felt like a cloud. It inspired my husband and I to get a new bed. The room was clean and spacious. I slept like a baby and didn't even hear the train everyone talked about. Breakfast was good and worth the money you pay for it. The walk to the riverwalk wasn't bad once you figured out where you were going. I probably would be a little leary about taking my kids for that walk, but that probably just the mother in me. My stay was excellent. Will stay again. Currently planning to stay again. Excellent choice for the money.

We had a room with a king bed and practically next to the elevators, but we did not hear any elevator noises or foot traffic. As for the other people reviews in regards to the train noises, we did not hear any except for the last night. It was pretty quiet most of the time, we were on the 3rd floor, but we did hear people walking on the floor above us. The staff was very nice to deal with, and the breakfast was great for such a nominal fee of $3.49. They had different kinds of cold and hot cereal, two different kind of eggs, ham, sausages, potatoes, and either pancakes or waffles. There are also fresh fruits, apple or orange juice, along with coffee. Hotel also offers free newspaper during the weekday, and best of all, FREE PARKING. Location to the Convention Center and RiverWalk are all within walking distances, approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Overall experience for the 4 nights were great.

This hotel was perfect for us, traveling with an 18-month old. She had room to play and the hotel provided a pack-n-play. The hotel staff were all very, very kind and helpful - all of them. The hot breakfast was very good, too. The Riverwalk, Alamo, Children's Museum, Buckhorn, etc are all within walking distance. It's just under the highway, then across one street, through the big hotel lobby or down another block to the Malln and out to the riverwalk. We felt completely safe making this walk several times each day. The only time we had to get in the car was to go to the zoo, and it is just a few minutes away by car. This hotel is small enough to be homey and the staff remember you and you remember them. They make you feel like you are not just another person filling a room. A pool would have been nice, but this is definately where we will stay when we return to San Antonio.
