  this hotel must have a deal with the locals. They come everyday and crowd the best part of the hotel's small beach. It isn't as though there are just a few of them. They take it over and stay all day. There is hardly room for the guests. There are lots of screaming kids running around in their diapers all along the beach and none of them are the guests.
  
  the hotel its self is a nice boutique hotel that would have been perfect if not for the non-guests permitted to take the place over on a daily basis. it seemed we were at a local beach and we were the unwanted intruders. Too bad, it could have been great.

  This hotel had great facilities right on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They clearly wanted us to have a great vacation and they succeeded. The folks at the dive shop were great as well - especially Flavio.

  Off the beaten track, yet close to downtown, this place was great. We were looking for quiet, cozy yet all the perks of a higher end hotel. This was perfect (quiet at night). The views were great, snorkeling out front is a must, as is the chips & guacomole and a pina coloda! Can't say enough about the wonderfull staff! Cozumel is spectacullarly beautiful and this hotel made our trip most enjoyable. This was our first trip to Cozumel: 1. We will definately go back 2. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere other than Playa Azul. Email with any questions about things to do on the island!

  We feel like locals when we go to Cozumel. We have been the last 3 yrs and stayed at Playa Azul the last two. We will never switch hotels. The view & beach are beautiful & service fantastic! Ask for Carlos during breakfast, he will take care of you! The free Golf is awesome!

  This was our third time at Playa Azul. Rooms are big, staff is good and friendly. Would like to see screen doors at entry doors so you can get a cross breeze in the room.
