The hotel was excellent in all respects and close to everything one might need--restaurants, post office, water bus station, etc. in a relaxing atmosphere--diffferent from Venice itself. Some might see the daily water bus rides as a nuisance, but we actually enjoyed them and the view in the morning of Venice across the lagoon with the Dolomites covered in snow behind it was spectacular. When we go back we will be sure to stay on Lido again and at the Villa Edera if possible.

The hotel was nice and the staff were very helpful, but the hotel is on an island called Lido which is a five to ten minute boat ride away from the San Marco plaza. It wasn't too much of an inconvienence, but if I went again I would stay in Venice.
