We had read Fodor's review as well as other travelers' reviews of the hotel and thought we had made a wise choice. The Hotel and its staff far exceeded our expectation! The suite was well appointed. One could easily stay a week or two and be very comfortable. The hotel is centrally located bridging old Montreal and Downtown. The staff was gracious and helpfull without seeming intrusive. The staff are experts at giving great service. The only negative was the construction around the hotel and it presented no problem to us. Suggestion: use the Concerige. They will provide you with a wealth of information but you need to ask. Example: I wondered if there were any Grayline tours that would take us to Mount Royal. There was no tourist information in the lobby. I overheard another traveler ask the Concerige about tours. Then I asked him about a tour including Mount Royal. He went to a drawer pulled out information and we reviewed the various tours together. I chose a tour that was exactly what I wanted. Not only did the Concerige make the reservations but he had Grayline reserve the two front seats of the bus for myself and my husband as I am handicapped.

This small all suites hotel was everything I had hoped and more. The location, in the heart of old Montreal, was perfect. Less than 5 minutes walk to the subway, Montreal's great rental bike system, restaurants, shops and more at the front door. All that before arriving in the hotel. Once inside it was an oasis of quite and luxury. Soothingly indulgent. Our suite was spacious and well appointed with fine details like a separate walk-in shower and oversize tub, ultra comfortable bed with a decadently luxurious down comforter and... quiet. The hotel staff we're friendly, efficient and very professional. The same was true of the staff at both on site restaurants. Their food was top notch albeit not inexpensive. It would be difficult for me to imagine staying anywhere else when returning to Montreal.

A very nice "boutique" hotel. Front desk staff, valets, bellmen, and restaurant staff all helpful and friendly. our stay was through a weedend and we noticed a differance in room cleanliness . That was pointed to in the questionair the hotel asked us to complete...we will await their reply. Convenient to Metro system. Great restaurants and shopping within walking distance. It is just to bad Montreal and Old Montreal ,like most large cities cannot keep up with removing graffiti, etc. But, already planning our next trip in 2010.

The St. Sulpice exceeded our expectations in every way. From the helpful and ever patient concierge, to the lovely decor, to the accommodating front desk holding our luggage, arranging for late check-out, etc., everyone at the hotel contributed to our enjoyment. Our room was extremely spacious, with a kitchenette ;sink, fridge, stovetop, microwave and dishes/flatware, etc.;, a separate bedroom, a sitting area, and lots of closet space. We are big walkers, and we were able to walk almost everywhere we wanted to with the hotel as our starting point. For trips father afield, the Place D'Armes metro is about two blocks away. The hotel is located in Old Montreal, so there are enough restaurants, shops, sights, etc., to keep you busy for a week without ever leaving the area. Highly recommend this lovely hotel!
