The location was great. I upgraded to the Jr Suite when I arrived at the hotel, the woman that checked me in gave me the price of the upgrade, and told me I would not have to pay for breakfast since I was in the Jr Suite. NOT TRUE - when I checked out I had to pay $*/day for breakfast and the upgrade was more than I had been told. The woman that checked me in had even written all the information down for me to show what I would be paying for - however, she did not give me that paper. When I checked out and told the gent what I had been quoted he said upgrading was expensive " aloha" The breakfast " in a box" was fruit, cereals and pastries. It costed a extra $* to get a couple of items.

Overall, the stay was fine as we did not spend a great deal of time at the hotel. The most positive thing to say is the location is good - the hotel is at the end of the row of hotels/resorts and very close to a large open park. The rooms are bit outdated, especially the bathrooms and the walls are paperthin (could hear large argument next door very clearly). Free breakfast was mostly continental - charge of $* extra for waffles. Found the morning entertainment at the pool area (where breakfast is served) to be nice - pleasant singer with a Hula dancer. Overall, good value for price paid. Obliviously better properties in Waikiki but sure they are priced much higher.

The hotel was great it met all our needs, perfect location for any activity. A little improvement on food selection could be better. Make it more buffet style. was a little confused that people had to pay extra for other breakfast meals. Set up a more "Ohana" Style breakfast tabel that will allow everyone to mingle. Otherwise, great hotel. We'll definitely stay here again.

  • Not bad for the price.

We wished we would have sprung a little more for a better hotel. The breakfast was pretty disappointing. If you are expecting anything other than a continental breakfast of muffins and fruit, you will be disappointed. They did have a waffle stand which we didn't realized cost extra until they chased us down to pay. We paid for an oceanfront room and they stuck us on the 5th floor with a completely blocked view of the ocean (although it did technically face the ocean) due to a roof below and the tops of palm trees. I requested a higher floor room with a King bed upon check-in but was told the higher rooms were all filled and we could move to one later in the week but we'd have to check out at noon, wait 3 hours and check back in at 3. We gave our room a shot and immediately dragged all of our stuff back down to the lobby, waited in line AGAIN, then informed them we paid for an oceanfront room and we expected to actually see the ocean. With much effort, they were able to put us in a room on the 11th floor (even though, they were supposedly all filled). It had 2 double beds instead of a king, but we made a sacrifice for the view. ADVICE if you pay for oceanfront, DO NOT SETTLE for anything below the 7th floor upon check in (even the 7th floor with be pushing it due to the obstructions). Other than that, the hotel seemed clean (bathroom very outdated) and the location was very convenient. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience, the price was great, but I think we'll pay extra for a better hotel next time.

Good location, very comfortable bed. The elevators were horrible. Long, long wait of the morning and evening.. Much faster to take the stairs. It is only valet parking, so be sure and call down to get your car and then don't be in any hurry...usually about a 30 minute wait.
