My husband and I have been to sunset beach 3 times now and will return every year we go to Cabo.We have had nothing but fantastic service and hospitality here.It amazes me to read the bad reviews about this place. We walk all over this property. That would be the only bad side of this place. It is on a hillside and for the elderly or out of shape crowd it would be more difficult. They do have the golf carts that will come and pick you up.As for the restaraunts on sight,I cant believe people say they are expensive. For a 5 star resort, they are great prices. I met a couple last time that was staying at the upscale hotels on the corridor and food was 25-30 dollors each every time they ate breakfast. We had eggs benedict in the morning for $* at this place. The pools are to die for,the beauty of this place is magnificent and the staff has always been nothing but polite to me. I speak a little spanish but all staff speaks english so it is easy to communicate.I have never been pressured to take their time share presentation,I was asked once when we first checked in and that was it. I love this place and will always return....

My husband and I just spent a week at the Sunset Beach in Cabo for our 10th anniversary. We were very pleased with the resort and will definitely go back. Service was great and food was good (Frida's was our favorite). We ate at La Nao on the Mexican buffet night. It was OK, but not worth the $30 per person they charged for it. Our favorite treat was chips and guacamole at the pool for lunch...so good! The Spa was AMAZING - we both had body wraps and enjoyed every minute of it!!! Be sure to take advantage of the other features of the spa - the sauna, jacuzzi, hot showers and cool pool. A great experience. The shuttle was convenient if you want to go in to town and will save you a lot of money on cab fares. Plenty of things to do...5 beautiful pools (check out the sky pool at sunset), relaxing on the beautiful beach, tennis, other activities, etc. We loved that you could fall asleep to the sounds of the waves in the evenings. One word of warning...if you do the timeshare presentation and receive vouchers for free excursions, food and drink or spa, just know that you will spend a lot of time trying to book everything with the concierge. We did the presentation and got lots of free gifts. In my opinion it was worth it. It is a HUGE resort so just double check your beach bag before heading out for the day or you will spend a lot of time trekking back to your room to retrieve forgotten items. Oh, and don't forget to apply lots of sunscreen...the weather is perfect so you don't feel hot but the sun is VERY strong! Enjoy!!!

For the past several years my family has stayed at Sunset. It is absolutely beautiful. I would not stay anywhere else. The rooms are large. The staff is great. The pictures do not do it justice. The pictures are very old from when it was first being built. The landscaping and flowers are abundant. We can always find a pool seat. The food at the resort and in Cabo in general is delicious. We take our two children and they enjoy all the activities. I visited the resort when it was being built and drove to it on a dirt road. It has grown exactly the way it was planning. Even nicer than we ever imagined. The sky pool with the infinity pool is one of the most beautiful spots on this earth to watch the day end. (be sure to enjoy it with a Bailey's Special). If you are trying to decide where to stay, I say don't hesitate in staying at Sunset. Once you go you will always compare anywhere you stay to your experience at Sunset.

The P.B. Sunset beach is truly a gorgeous, romantic facility. It is set on a hillside that flows down to a private beach on the Pacific side of Cabo. The sunsets and the ocean view are magnificent. If you want some privacy, and a beach that has no beach vendors constantly bothering you, this is the place. There are 4 pools to chose from, including an adults only pool, and a sky pool that fully allows you to take advantage of spectacular sunset views. If you want the convenience of being close to the ""beach action"" of Madano beach, or the down town area, then the P.B. Rose or Blanca are your best bet. Even though the Hotel has a free shuttle bus that goes back and forth from the hotels hourly, two trips a day to the Rose from the Sunset are going to use up about 2 hours of your time in paradise.
