We took a family vacation here, The staff were wonderful and welcoming to our family. The room and hotel were beautiful and very clean. Cruise ships are in front of the hotel but didn't bother us. Snorkeling, parasailing and boating available at the dive shop at the hotel. There was a short drive to get to the downtown area. Probably better to take a taxi. The taxis were always available. Would definitely stay here again!

you can not go wrong choosing to stay here. you receive such personal, warm, friendly, sincere service. from everyone. the facilities are absolutely gorgeous.....gardens, plants, walkways. the beach area is large, and there are normally always enough chairs and palapas for everyone; there is also a fantastic little cove with a wonderful waterfall to relax by. the rooms are cleaner than clean. the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, right out open on the water. and the waiters and captain and staff there are incredibly professional, but at the same time so kind and friendly. they really make you feel like family. the rest of the staff at the hotel-front desk, office, maids, landscapers, kitchen---everyone else is the same way---they can not do enough for you, and all they want is to make sure everything is going okay and that you have a wonderful time. i guess the best recommendation i can give is that i started coming to this hotel in 1987, and i am still coming back! you will have a marvelous time at la ceiba.

In April my wife and I went to Cozumel Mexico for our vacation. We have been going to Cozumel for over twenty years and have stayed in many hotels on our various trips. When we checked in at El Cid La Ceiba hotel we were met with a welcome drink and the genuine welcome of the desk staff. While at this hotel we were always treated to good service and friendly hospitality. The staff all wanted us to have a great stay there and we did . The restaurant is wonderful . The food is excellent and the staff of the restaurant are both competent and friendly. They almost make you feel like a loved family member . We had a wonderful stay and will go back again and again.
