We went to Golden Crown Paradise 6/25-6/29 and loved the service, quality, cleanliness of the hotel. Really enjoyed the fact that the beach was right next, directly off, to the resort. The food was all good except for the hamburgers, and all the drinks you want. A dollar tip is greatly appreciated. Watch out for the beachcombers selling whatever the can illegal of not. A simple no gracias should work though. And the beds could be softer. But will surly stay again.

We just stayed 4 nights but enjoyed the relaxing environment. The crowd and pool area were fun and reminded me of spring break for 50 year olds with pool volleyball and rum drinks. Good points: nice food quality, dining experience. The regular restaurant is great for breakfast and they provide whatever you ask for. Pool is warm and lounge chairs are nice. Room was very nice with ocean view, good staff. Down side: Decline the ""timeshare pitch"" as it wastes 2 hours - unless you like that. The Beach area is beautiful, but there are NON STOP vendors every 1-2 minutes selling stuff. It all costs $5-$30 and no one has a wad of cash at the beach. I could not relax at the beach due to the tons of vendors coming by all day. One kind of beer only. (no Bud!) All in all - a very nice place and location. Without vendors and time share pitch it would be a 10.

My wife and I spent 1 week here for our honeymoon. The resort was excellent. The beaches were clean and well maintained. Golden Crown has the best beach chairs of all the resorts. Breakfast at The Breeze was the perfect start to the day. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food left a little to be desired, but I would give it a 'B'. Be sure to get your reservations in for dinner early in the day as they book fairly quickly. The rooms are spacious and clean. You won't be disappointed.

We have stayed here for three years in a row. We savor our trips here; the staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is quite good for an all-inclusive. The gym is average, but the two clay tennis courts are wonderful and a teaching pro whom we always enjoy. The resort is close to bus transportation if you wish to visit downtown, but we love just hanging around the resort to enjoy the gym, tennis, and friendly staff. The staff in the restaurant specializes in ""Sexy Coffee"" and always greets you with a smile and warm welcome. The staff can make or break a resort, and the hotel has had the same faces for the years that we have visited and we always feel welcome and relaxed. The companion resort next door allows children and the adults at this hotel can visit either resort and their respective restaurants - lots of variety and good choices. We have stayed at other all inclusives in PVR, but keep coming back here.

We stayed here with a group that chose this destination and resort. We enjoy travel and food and fun. Unfortunately for this resort, the food was average at best. The all inclusive licquor was only average. You are limited on your drinks in your room to a per day amount. Everybody wants to sell you a timeshare, even the help desk at the resort. Vendors of all kinds are asking you to buy things every 30 seconds that you are on the beach. One couple that we were with on this trip had the honeymoon suite and it took the hotel staff 4 days to get them a cold bottle of champagne that was suppose to be their on arrival. Half of the staff was courteous, but a lot of the staff at the resort seemed to be put out by you even being there, but everybody is still looking to get get tipped for anything and everything. If you only want to sit at the pool bar and consume average alcohol, this is an o.k. place to go to. If you want good service, good food, and fun activities, keep looking. I would not recommend staying at this resort. If it weren't for the few activities that we found to do off the resort we may have tried to come home early.
