Beautiful hotel and resort. Half of the hotel was being rennovated during our stay, but with the low occupancy rate of both the town and the hotel we hardly noticed. The staff was great. Everyone from the reception people, concierge, housekeeper, room service staff, and the pool staff were attentive and helpful. Beautiful hotel in the sense that anything we wanted was taken care of by the staff. Excellent choice and would stay again.

Renovations
09/22/2009It would have been noce to know that hotel was getting renovated and half of the pools were empty. beautiful hotel otherwise allthough restaurants are pricey.

We were very pleased with the hotel although I think its geared more for the business traveler based on the over all mellow, low key atmosphere and all of the huge meeting rooms they have there. The service is outstanding, everyone bending over backwards to assist in any way they can. We had an ocean front room with a clear view of the Island of Women. The beach is very big with lots of soft fluffy sand with good service for drinks or lunch. The water is very clean and no rocks at all. The pool is very nice too although half of it was shut down for repairs when we were there over Labor Day week end. I didn't pack a hair dryer because it seems 99% of all places provide them but be aware that that is not the case at this hotel. Great linens but no hair dryer. I had to dry my hair in the slight breeze provided by mother nature on our balcony. The location is great too. Its an easy walk to Hard Rock, Carlos & Charlies, various night clubs and restaurants and malls.

We are from Southern California, booked our vacation thru travel on line and had no problems what so ever.....The hotel is the best in Cancun in my opinion, every room has an ocean veiw, and what a view it is, the Ocean is beautiful along with the pools....Three out of the Four pools has a swim up bar with a great staff...For finding a spot on the beach, find Jorge and tip him and you dont need to wake up early he will save a spot where you like....On that note, the staff is excellent, always catering to your needs, the hotel resturants are expensive, thats why we dined out for dinner, when you check in ask for the free vouchers for breakfast, the buffet is worth it.....I am looking forward to planning my next trip back.....Well worth it...........
