This was first trip to Mexico, what a wonderful stay!! After reading some reviews I was leary, but we were not dissapointed at all!! the grounds, staff, rooms were excellent for this caliber of hotel. Perfect, quiet and quaint! The arrangement of the rooms/buildings leads to a very private relaxed feeling. We really enjoyed Mexican night!! Lots of shows, Pools were clean and fun. Beach is nice but a little small, but never crowded. Wide variety of food, but not available 24/7 wich would have been nice. I would stongly reccomend this resort for a low pressure, quiet, personal feel.

My family and I just recently stayed here and had an amazing time. Not only was the hotel beautiful with a great pool/beachside location, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay even better! Yes, there may not be the comforts of home like a soft cushy bed but if you are going on vacation to relax and sit out in the sun then who really cares! The entertainment was great and varied every night--we attended all of the shows! I also loved the classes offered during the day--they were highly entertaining and kept us on our feet. The staff also acccomodated us to great places outside of the resort in the evening which was great. The restaurants within the place were also good. I would recommend this hotel to anyone going on a family vacation! A special thanks to the staff for making it a great time~You make this hotel!

We booked through a Travel Agency and when the Allegro Playacar was presented to us, it looked great in the catalogue. In Nolitours' site, there was a note at the end of the advertisement saying that due to the major storms of the previous years, the beach is very narrow but there is a shuttle every morning and night to the Fisherman's beach.
My travel agent assured me that it's all fixed now. That you might see the odd sand bags but only if the tide is very low.
The first thing I did when I got to the hotel was walk to the beach. HORRIBLE. THERE IS NO BEACH - JUST ENORMOUS SAND BAGS THAT LOOKS LIKE A TROOP OF WHALES.
and you think there was a shuttle. We had to take the cab every day back and forth to Playa Mamita, pay our chairs and palapas, pay our drinks, pay our food etc....
At night, the entertainement was so boring, We went 20 miinutes and we had enough. You could see maybe 10 people sitting to watch the rest of the hotel is on 5th street because at least there you can party.
Be wise - choose another hotel. -

Went here with my teenage son for 4 days. Depends on what you are looking for. This place is smaller then all resorts around it. So was quite and service was great. the pools are nice but nothing fancy. They are working hard on beach and so it is small, but nice.You have big hotels around it that you can hang out at their beaches if you want action. The rooms are great because they are more like cabanas then hotel rooms three to four stories high. you have your own patio with a hamock to hang out on. The grounds are beautiful.

Family and I got there, had a few cocktails, awoke and found that the maid service stole my husband's brand new shoes. They had false advertisement- no beachfront. The swim up bar/pool started to fall into the ocean while we were there. My mother in law made the sad mistake of forgetting her bathing suit in her shower to dry;low and behold the wonderful maid service also stole her bathing suit! This place is a joke and needs to be torndown. If you are looking to stay at this, tent on the beach will serve you better!
