We stayed at the Pop Century Resort in September. The staff (cast) was very pleasant. One issue was the building we were placed was so far from everything. The buses, the dining area, everything was at least 1000 ft away from where we stayed. The room was fine. The sink was stationed outside of the actual bathroom, but that was ok too. After further inspection, I noticed that there was mold underneath the rim of the sink. Not ok. The water ran hot and powerful. Everyone was very pleasant there. I would stay again, but would request a closer building/room.

Our Pop Century room was better then I expected. We had two connecting rooms-one with 2 double beds, the other had 1 king size bed and was set up to accomodate a wheelchair ;handicapped. The double beds room was smaller then what you would normally expect. When they say there isn't a refrigerator in the room, they are correct unless you book a handicapped room-it had one There isn't a coffee maker we brought one just in case;. There is an iron, ironing board, and safe however. The bathroom is on the small side Handicapped is a nice big size but has only a shower with seating;. Housekeeping was great, as one would expect for Disney. The beds were comfortable, and a/c worked perfectly. We were in 1950's building #3, 3rd floor, and was within an easy walk to the lobby, gift shop, restaurant, and bus stop. We did not have any of the noise issues others speak about. Check in/out was quick and painless. Everyone went the extra mile to answer any question we had bus schedules. All in All we were very pleased with the rooms. The size of the rooms was only a hindrance when the entire family was bustling around getting ready in the mornings we had a teenage girl with us--think lots of beauty products taking up all the available counter space...loll;. But honestly-how much time are you going to spend in your room at Disney????

This is called a VALUE resort for a reason. The rooms are smallish but clean and very functional. The theming and amenities are cute and appropriate for FAMILIES on a BUDGET. This is NOT for hoity-toity people. If you like rich snooty stuff, don't even bother. That's what the Grand Floridian is for, at about 7-10 times the price. This is lots of fun for kids and comfortable enough for average down-to-earth people who can take care of themselves. You have all the benefits on onsite WDW guest privileges, early hours, transportation, free parking, at a very reasonable price. You just have to be realistic. The food court is a good value and offers good variety so you can eat there every day without getting bored. Pizza delivery is convenient. If you want to splurge on some fine dining it's a bus ride or drive to any of the dozens of fancy places around the WDW property.

We had a great experience staying at Pop Century. Check in/out was very efficient. Our rooms were great. The beds comfortable and plenty of space. We loved all the themed areas and the pool was so relaxing to go hop in and cool off after a morning in the parks. Loved the location. We drove sometimes and rode the bus others. Never had to wait for bus service. We ate at the Classic dining hall. Lots of choices. Bought a lot of stuff at the shops because of the variety and ease of taking it right back to our room. We felt is was a great value and great time.

Motel 6 of Disney

I realize that I booked the cheapest resort on Disney's property, but I was simply looking for a place to sleep at night. And I had a great stay a few years ago at the All-Star Sports Resort, so I expected a similar stay at Pop Century. I didn't anticipate the inconsiderate nature of many fellow guests and the apathy of the resport's staff. If you throw out the beautiful landscaping and the outward Disney images, this hotel is nothing but a Motel 6 -- uncomfortable beds, paper-thin towels and sheets, and thin walls between rooms. One night, our ""neighbors"" were very interested in the Lakers' game on television -- they were screaming at the television at 10 p.m., and we could hear them as if they were in the same room as us. After complaints to the front desk were unproductive, we requested a room change -- which they initially refused until we pressed the issue. They ""showed us"" by moving us to a room completely across the complex, an uncomfortable late-night move (15-minute walk in the rain with a 2-year-old). Additionally, smokers (there were many) were allowed to stand in the entrance of the main building, blowing smoke at fellow guests as they entered. Resort staff simply didn't care and let them continue to stay in undesignated areas. If you DO want to stay in this hotel: 1. Spring for the more deluxe option. The cheaper rooms are inconviently far from the dining/front desk/bus area. 2. Avoid the dining area at breakfast. They are incapible of serving the number of people who want to be served. Unfortunately with the cheaper resort comes the least talented resort staff members who simply didn't care about their job. Not completely unexpected, but equally as disappointing none-the-less.
