We were satisfied with our stay at the Ambassador. A couple little issues came up during our 5 night stay (Sept 13-18, 2009), but they were rectified in an extremely timely and professional manner. The only issue that I would concur with previous reviewers would be the carpet in the room. It was in dire need of shampooing, as it left our feet black just after a short while of walking barefoot. I informed the front desk clerk of this as we checked out, and she seemed genuinely concerned about it and made a note of it. Other than that, the staff was courteous and professional, from the front desk clerk, to the housekeepers, to the maintenance man who repaired our A/C, to the bellhop who helped us with some directions. We would NOT recommend the onsite restaurant, as the service was poor, and the restaurant manager's response to our complaint was less than stellar. Parking was no problem, the Condado area was clean and safe (we had no problem walking to the drug store at 9 or 10pm...). We didn't use the pool, but when we stopped by (on the roof!), it was not crowded, but then again, we were told that September is the slowest tourist month in PR. Overall, we would recommend and we would return there...

02/01/2009From new jersey great place to stay.we enjoy entertainment at night. we felt safe to walking distance to area restaurant and stores, parking was no trouble.would stay again.
