Our room service each day was not very good. They missed one day of cleaning competely. We they came the following day AFTER we asked they did not do a good job. Did not take out the trash or change the sheets. I think time of the season was short staff and it showed.

The hotel was lovely. The pools were great. The front desk folk were a little snotty but the service employees were extremely friendly and helpful. But if you are counting on a sofa bed for sleeping, forget about it. Unbelievable. Literally it was nothing but fabric and springs. It was the worst of the worst. And I've seen some uncomfortable sleeper sofas in my day but this wins the prize. We ended up requesting about 8 blankets to use as a cushion. They sent up the blankets right away so I'm sure they are aware of the problem. Think twice if a sleeper sofa is part of the deal. Everything else was fine. Why not fix the problem??

THE westgate was wonderful. We loved our two bedroom room and the appliances in the kitchen. It was well stocked with dishes, pans, etc. The Westgate had so many great aspects it will be hard to list them all, but we particularly liked the ski valet service where they took your skis out to the Gondola every morning and every night they dried your boots and put them back in the locker. The restaurant was very nice and the shuttle service was great. They took you wherever you wanted to go--the grocery store, the outlets, other ski slopes, out to dinner, etc. We did not need a car. The longest we had to wait for a shuttle was 10 minutes. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff at the Westgate and the Canyons Resort in general.

Make sure you book the proper size accomodations for your group, max 5 persons in one bedroom, 8 in two. There are plenty of fun activites for the kids, they have snow sleds they can use, planned games in the pool, scavenger hunts, ice cream sundae parties, a kids club for the younger ones to stay at if they don't want to ski one day, a video arcade for the older kids, ping pong and a great pool that max depth is 4.5 feet, with plenty of shallow areas for young kids. The hot tubs are great, guests are friendly. The ski concierge is the best! They will take your ski's from the base area back to the hotel and store them, in the locker area, they will take your boots and dry them for the next day. They will make sure you have everything you need for a great day on the slopes! Love this place!

I travel all over the world and this was by far my worst experience ever. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!! The customer service was pathetic. I booked a two bedroom room and the Westgate gave me a one bedroom room. The manager said to deal with it and that I got a good rate regardless and I should not be complaining. He didn't care that I had six people in my group and there was no place for my kids to sleep. The Westgate did not attempt to help us secure a different room at one of their other properties.
