Itwas rainy but the tempature was mild. We enjoyed seeing the falls from the back side, side view, view from the boat Maid of the Mistbottom of the falls, and from the skylon dinning room 500 Ft + above the falls.On the fional day we saw the falls from the ferris wheel. Three days is about the right length of time to spend there.

The lobby and outside of the hotel are much nicer than the actual rooms which are fairly standard. Our refrigerator did not work and it took two phone calls to get someone up to fix it. It turns out that the breaker to it had been shut off. One would think that would be part of checking to make sure the room is ready.. The rooms were cleaned extremely late in the date-- about 4:30 each day, which almost defeats the purpose, in my opinion. Most importantly, the Concierge desk was not a Concierge desk. They basically sold tours for a company. If you asked for any other information, you got a grunt and were lucky to get a map if someone was even at the desk. Yes, I know. This is the off-season. Lastly, the rooms did not even have a comment card, so they obviously did not want any feedback.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel at the end of August 2009. The room was fantastic, roomy, comfortable, and provided all that was needed. When we checked in the staff was friendly and nice, and the guy even noted that he saw us get out of a Taxi upon arrival, therefore we were not charged for rental car hotel parking fees. Cookies were great too! On the morning of checkout, 8-31-09, there was a bill under our door with $ day + taxes for rental car parking. When we checked out at the desk, at 7:30 a.m., the staff at the desk at that time of the morning wasn't very cordial, and sort of acted like we were crazy for asking to remove the parking charge. They even saw the taxi driver standing there waiting to pick us up. They did remove the rental car charge, but as we were exiting out the door, neither the man or the lady at the desk said anything else to us....not even "thank you for staying with us" or "come back the next time you're here". This is the type of attitude that would keep us away from the hotel the next time. Guess some people think that guests don't notice their professionalism or how they are treated, but we certainly did. As far as the hotel, the stay was great. Bring plenty of money, as the food in this hotel and areas restaurants is extremely high with multiple Canadian taxes added on.

Our five days at the Doubletree Fallsview was very pleasant. The room was spacious, very clean and had a beautiful view of the US Falls from the Canadian side of Niagra Falls. From the 18th floor, we had front row seats via our picture window to see a beautiful array of fireworks overlooking the falls on the nite before we checked out...well worth the wait! The bathroom had a huge jacquzzi -- which we used most evenings. I would recommend this hotel for anyone planning a trip to the Canadian side of Niagra Falls.

was not prepared to spend an extra $10/ day for parking.....for the price it should have been included! also thought the breakfast was included but was extra also. cookie was great and room was wonderful, though! nice fridge and coffee maker, clean bathroom, and good view! indoor pool was an added plus for the kids. short walk to the falls made it worth it in the 90+ degree heat!
