First my flight was delayed so the courtesy shuttle was not available. We took a taxi to the resort. The resort was located well away from Playa del Carmen. Upon arriving we learned the ?non included? items in the all inclusive: all premium beverages, juice bar, room service, spa (expected) steak and lobster. Upon entering our room we were informed the mini bar would be stocked daily. Seeing as we had 4 guests we asked that the amounts be doubled, but were denied. The entire week we were there our ice maker did not work. We also learned the beach was under maintenance and we would be shuttled at no charge to another location and would be given an allowance of $ per person to make up for the fact that our all inclusive was not honored at this location (they conveniently forgot to honor this at check out). Not equitable by any math. We called the front desk for a taxi one morning only to wait 20 minutes before learning the taxi was never requested. Our breakfast was incorrectly prepared everyday; we did not receive a correct or complete order a single time. There was no soap or sponges with which to wash dishes, or use dishwasher, but for an additional charge. The only upside to this terrible experience was the evening staff. They went out of their way to service us as we know RCI Gold Crown Resorts are known for. They also showed us the hospitality we love about Mexico. All in all, my friends & family and the evening staff were what made this vacation worth while.

Talk about bang for the buck! We were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. Spectacular 3 story Spa w/ large warm sea water pool. Beautiful decor along with spa tub and Vegas like hotel interior. When planning your visit, consider not paying the high prices of an all inclusive and feel confined/obligated because of the amount of $ spent. Instead, go visit 5th Ave to get the authentic local flavor.

We have been to this resort twice and cannot wait to go back again. On our first trip, there were four, our second trip we decided to bring our entire family (14); with either group the staff was accommodating and attentive. The spa is amazing, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, food incredible and great service (our group of 14 kept them very busy, especially at the pool bar). The private beach is 30 min. away due to road construction, but worth the trip. Everywhere you look there is art and tranquil views. It is the place for true R&R.
