My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel. In fact, we have always loved staying there and have for the past 4 years. This year when we arrived the room was not prepared for our arrival. It was apparent that only tertiary cleaning had been done. The bathroom floor was full of long hair, toilet had not been cleaned, mirror was dirty and smeared and the towels were gray, not white. The plumbing fixtures in the shower were pulling out of the wall. The carpeting needed to be vacuumed. Finger nail clippings and cashew on rug by sofa. When we expressed our concern to the front desk, she responded she would make note of it. She continued to explain that she had the same thing happen to her when she stayed at a Best Western. Not sure why she had to share that information. Not even an apology. The next day when we returned to the room, again the room had not be cleaned. They did replace the towels, empty the trash and made the bed. That was about it. I am grateful that I carry clorox wipes when I travel. I washed the floor myself and disinfected the area. It was a true disappointment to see this hotel drastically changed in one year. Even carpet in the common areas are dirty. Only one piece of equipment in the work out room is working. This hotel is in serious neglect. What a shame.

Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. Room was clean. Pool and hot tub were perfect at the end of a long day. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It's a little north of the historic district but worth it.

Hotel was clean and both the room and hallways smelled clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful and Continental Breakfast was good. Hotel was within walking distance of Trolley Tour which also provided a pick up & return service. There was also a great Mexican Restaurant down the block. Hotel was also located in a quiet area of down town.

08/08/2008Rooms were very clean. maid staff was couteous but the desk clerk seem like she had an attitude everytime i spoke with her. expected a little more for the money.........................
