No joke, don't do it

The location was truly beautiful, but thats it. I should have read all the other reviews. My wife was mortified. From the begining, the door had to be forced open and closed, evidently the owners believe painting over years of rust equals new. The carpet, bedskirts, grout in the bathroom were all moldy. The furniture was all falling apart. The televisions were out of date, and the reception was horrible, the remote control bearly worked. Not all the lamps in the room worked. Condensation from the air conditioner collected on the floor. As you walk around the outside of the hotel, every thing you saw, from ice machines to to doors on store rooms were in poor condition or poorly repaired. I couldn't find a game room or any wi-fi. The only reason I stayed the full two nights was because of the no refund policy. I would have spent more money to stay in a tent on the beach.

08/10/2009What a waste of money!!! where should i begin.... it took us 2 hours to check in.... an when we finally got into a room... which we had to try ...
WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!! WHERE SHOULD I BEGIN.... IT TOOK US 2 HOURS TO CHECK IN.... AN WHEN WE FINALLY GOT INTO A ROOM... WHICH WE HAD TO TRY 3 DIFFERENT KEYS... AN NONE OF THEM WORKED!!! THE ROOM WAS NASTY.... IT SMELLED LIKE MILDEW.... ALL THE APPLIANCES HAD RUST ON THEM... THE SLIDE WAS CLOSED... THE JACUZZI WAS FILLED WITH DIRT... THE BREAKFAST... THAT YOU PAY $7 FOR WAS COLD... THE WHOLE PLACE WAS NASTY... IF IT WOULDN'T OF BEEN SO LATE IN THE EVENING WHEN WE FINALLY GOT CHECKED IN.... I WOULD OF NEVER STAYED THERE.... I HAD MY 1YR AND 8YR OLD SONS, AN MY ELDERLY PARENTS!!!! THE PICTURES ARE NOTHING LIKE THE ONES ON THIS WEB SITE!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!!!

My wife and kids stayed there a few years ago, and it was great. Things have changed. The location has all the potential but the management that is currently there leaves much to be desired. During our stay we got a little sunburned therefore we wanted to cool off in the room but the air conditioner did not function properly. The roaches took over the room not to mention that the ceiling was falling in. We had our kids and there were not enough pillows in the room. It took three hours to get more. There were not enough towels in the room. When we asked for more they told us that they did not have enough towels for guest to use at the beach and pool. That is pretty amazing since it was a beach resort on the beach, with a huge pool and a waterslide. Speaking of the pool, there was nothing to keep beach bums from wandering up off the beach. There was also a huge group of drunks from the poolside cabana, which were not guests at the hotel. I also need to mention that there is no beach on the actual resort property. It is actually a seawall therefore you have to climb over rocks and jump in order to get to the ocean. The beach that we were able to go to was actually a state park which neighbored the property and was nicer than the resorts beach front. In closing, if you want your kids to hang out with a bunch of drunks, don't mind bringing your own towels and pillows, abuse of the staff, and paying $150.00 per night for the pleasure, by all means go for it.

My husband and I chose this hotel because of the beautiful and misleading pictures and that it was pet friendly. We left after 10 minutes! The room smelled awful, a musty smell. The carpet was disgusting so I wouldn't take my shoes off. The sheets looked like an old shirt so worn you could see through them and stained. One set had a hole in it along with the pillow case. The place is not taken care of. You are paying for the slide and the fact that it is on the beach. Chose another hotel!

i decided to take a chance that the other reviews were just bad luck. NOT SOO!!!!! paper room numbers taped to the doors, doors to hallways did not lock, hallways not air conditioned, no place to rinse before getting in the pool which was DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!! my daughter had a rash for 5 days after swimming in it. GROSS!!! dog poop in the outside hallway.. rough concrete floors. nowhere to clean off after the beach so everything was filthy with sand and such. no game room as it said on the map. tiki bar prices were outrageous and so was the cost for the room.there was a water pitcher holding up part of the bed. for $20 dollars a night for a family i still would not stay here again. OH YEAH! ONE LAST THING. we paid for ocean front we got pool view. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
