  I only stayed for one night, but despite the "Express" name, it was a fine place to stay. The room was very large and was equipped with a microwave and refrigerator. The bathroom was large and well appointed with a porcelain tub and plenty of room, The location is close to I40 but not immediately on the frontage road (It's behind a Texas Roadhouse). The desk clerk told me the hotel was build in 2005, but it looked brand new inside and out. The neighborhood isn't scary either. There was a decent free breakfast that included sausage patties, biscuits and sausage gravy plus the usual rolls. The only downside is that it is a little pricier than some of the other motels in Amarillo but you get what you pay for. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room.

  We were so pleased with this new hotel! So convenient to dining and accesss to the interstate. The bed was absolutely the most comfortable I have ever slept on! We will always stay here when traveling through Amarillo!!

  We weren't expecting much from this hotel b/c of the location, but we were pleasantly surprised. It is very nice, with great rooms, good service and a good breakfast with lots of variety. If we ever have to go back to Amarillo again, we'll definitely return.

  Beautiful new hotel. we could not believe we were in a holiday inn express suites. it's beautifully appointed from the lobby to the rooms. love it here!

  I can't say enough about this hotel. Holiday Inn Express has really out done themselves in catering to the needs of travelers. I felt like I was at home, or in an upscale hotel. Tile floors, granite counter tops, thick towels, large bathrooms, and showers. The beds were the tallest I've ever had in a hotel. Great hot Breakfast with eggs/bacon, etc. My only complaint would be that you could hear there were loud closing doors about 7am that woke me. But that's pretty typical in a hotel.
