  I found the Novotel to be a great stay. The price is a little high but discounts online with the travel agency are frequently available. It pays to get the biz lounge special if traveling for two. It is $60 singaporan dollars per night but it includes breakfast and breakfast is $24 singaporan per night anyway so for the extra $S12 you get access to the lounge, free internet, free cocktails, breakfast and your room will be on the top floor and you'll get a great view of the singapore river. The location is right on the river next to Clark Quay which is the happening spot in that city. Highly recomended.

  My wife and I just returned from Novotel Clarke Quay, it was definately the best in terms of service & overall layout. Orchard Road & Chinatown are close by. We really appreciated the warm service extended by the staff. Bell captain is on ground floor. Reception is on the 7th floor. Hotel is built on top of shopping mall. Very nice lobby and chic (i'd say probably 4 star by Euro/American standards). Best rooms overlook the river. Very large room with flatscreen TV, DVD player, Internet access in the room. Rate was expensive but worth paying for.

  i stayed in this hotel for 3 days as a leisure traveller. I enjoy my stay. I stay in the biz floor room that come with breakfast at the biz lounge on the 24 floor that have a wonderful view of the city skyscrapers. My room faces the singapore river view & is big & clean with a big flat screen tv & DVD player. Definitely the room have a modern looks & a lot better than the picture displayed in this website. (heard that all the rooms are fully renovated & no longer the same design as the old room which belong to Hotel New Otani).
