We were not sure what to expect in Puerto Vallarta, but this hotel made us want to go back! The rooms were spacious and clean with great air conditioning ;it was very hot and humid. The staff were very friendly, professional, and spoke English. There was only one restaurant on the premises, and 24-hour room service. The food in the restaurant was delicious, not one complaint. Everyone did their best to make us happy there. We could take a 5 minute shuttle ride to the beach, and the pool at the beach club was absolutely beautiful! This hotel is perfect for romance, rest and relaxation. They deliver cold bottles of water wherever you go, and room service is extremely efficient. We did not play golf, but the course was beautiful and well-kept. This hotel is definitely like paradise, with pristine blue pools, lots of comfortable seating and cabanas, and beautiful trees and flowers. We loved it!

My husband and I chose this place for our honeymoon destination and we couldn't have chosen a better resort. The staff was very helpful and friendly and accomodated to our every desire. They offer room service at night and would cook us things that weren't even on the menu! The location is great, about $10 US dollars to ride downtown and there are 3 other hotels that you also have access to when you stay here that are very close. One has its own private beach that you can have lunch at. I highly recommend this place! One thing i will say is that the adults only claim is questionable. There was a couple there when we stayed that had a newborn with them. But still a great place to stay!

We stayed at Casa Velas in January '09. It was a fabulous resort - the staff goes out of their way to take care of your every need; by the end of the week the staff felt like friends. The adults only hotel is quiet, relaxing, perfect for a romantic getaway. Even though the hotel itself is not directly on the beach, their wonderful private beach club more than makes up for it. The spa is great for pampering. We will definitely stay here again.

Initially we did not book this hotel but ended up staying there two nights of a two week trip to Vallarta. The hotel is located in the marina area within the confines of a golf course. This is a boutique hotel with about 80 rooms, beautiful grounds, gorgeous modern accommodations, exceptional service and great food. They have an outstanding full service spa that is absolutely beautiful. This is an all inclusive hotel but you would never know it based on the service, quality and sophistication of the restaurants, drinks, food and those helping you. The rooms are beautiful and have wonderful amenities including flat screen tv's, wonderful products and comfortable beds. The grounds are impeccably manicured with a beautiful pool with a swim up bar surrounded by lush gardens, wild life, flowers, fountains all set directly behind the main building. This area is very peaceful and a great place to relax and read a book. There is a beautiful restaurant tucked next to the main reception area and pool that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a beach club that is within a two minute shuttle ride. The club offers a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the pacific with huge beaches, a restaurant with lounging areas. The staff is unbelieavably attentive and friendly throughout the property eager to assist and please. The beach club menu offers sushi and lighter food than the more formal restaurant at the hotel but both are equal in quality, service and sophistication. This is an adult only property and one assured to please the most discriminating of travelers. We will certainly return and soon!

2 of the 5 days was like having your own private pool with a swim up bar. It was very relaxing and no crowds. By the 2nd day staff new and used your name. This time of year the humidity was very high and with the a/c on in the rooms moisture settled on everything and made the marble floors a little slick. Rooms was continually checked and cleaned. We stayed in a 2nd floor room which had a lap pool which continually recycled the water. Our room overlooked the 18th hole on the marina golf course. It was very easy to book a tee time. They have a small night time bar, but with their neighbor hotel a couple of minutes away, eating and drinking on the beach was no problem. Drivers were ready and eager to transport you back and forth to either hotels. We'll stay there again.
