First night got a room facing Hwy 50 (only a couple hundred feet away) and didn't get much sleep. Front desk got me another room for my next two nights other side, much better. But heaters (GE heat pumps) extremely noisy, wasn't even using mine and my neighbors got me up when it was running. Hope they change these when they remodel, stayed other places and this is not an issue, only here. Rooms neat and clean, everything worked. Nice free coffee machine & complimentary USA Today in the lobby every day, and a free internet terminal there was nice. Tons of stores/restaurants within walking distance, and a AAA insurance office next door with some travel services like maps.

For * bucks plus tax a night, it was an OK motel. Check in and check out went smoothly (I pre-paid). I asked for an iron and board and didn't get one anytime during my three day stay (was eventually told they didn't have enough). The room was really small. The TV did offer movie channels and the room had good wall heater. The electric key to the door didn't always work. I probably won't stay there again. I was on the 3rd floor. I stayed at a Days Inn (in the Bay Area) during the same week long trip. Days Inn was 10 bucks more per night, but worth the extra money. Oh well, live and learn. If you book a room I would recommend Days Inn instead of Red Roof.

Stayed the end of July 2008 - Room was comfortable, however, the desk did not have an oulet behind to plug in laptop, so had to have the cord in an akward place in front of TV and dresser. Otherwise, loved the shopping close by, easy freeway access. I travel alone quite frequently, but felt very safe. Staff extremely nice, linens could use larger bath towels and pillows were small for a queen bed, but definitely would stay again.

  • Outstanding!
