Weekend traveler? If you book a stay over the weekend and plan to go to 207 the lobby bar or Float the pool bar, please contact the hotels Concierge to reserve priority admittance into either one of the bars (Registered guests only). You must get your name on the list by 8:00pm day of and then admittance with front of the line access will be held until 10:00 pm the night of reservation. If you choose not to put your name on the list or arrive after 10:00 pm, hotel cannot guarantee admittance.
If you are partying with friends then Hard Rock Hotel San Diego offers many on property choices at which to enjoy alcoholic beverages and to entertain guests including 2 nightclubs, room service, and 2 restaurants. However by law they cannot allow guests to bring their own alcohol into the hotel. Minimum check in age is 21.
As a reminder, guest rooms have a maximum occupancy of 4 people per room. Only registered guests may enjoy our guest rooms after hours and we reserve the right to remove individuals form the property if they are disturbing other guests.

The Hard Rock is in an excellent gaslamp location. We went to the Padres game and it was super convenient, only a short block away. It is also right across the trolley tracks from the convention center. We stayed over 4th of July weekend and the gaslamp was bursting at the seems, day and night. The crowd tends to be on the younger side in the gaslamp (especially at night) and the Hard Rock would be a mecca for the "I thought I was in Vegas"-set. That can be fun, and I enjoyed it, but thought it was weird to see families with small children wandering around the hotel wondering how they found themselves there. I would think most people staying at a Hard Rock would realize this going in, but just in case, keep in mind that there are several popular clubs at the Hotel and the pool area hosts music and frivolity until around 2am, so if your room is anywhere close to this vicinity, you shouldn't expect to turn-in early. I will say that as soon as the space closed, it was super quiet, which I didn't really expect. We may have just gotten lucky though. The spa is nice, serene and the staff was wonderful. The fitness center was clean and had new equipment. The main downside to this hotel is the extra charges that others have mentioned that get added on. Parking is expensive.

Were to begin. Just got back from a conference and stayed there for a week. Not my first choice but was a late option. Location is good but as others have said if you have a car you are stuck with valet. Noise level is not tolerable. Rooms are cheap and cleaning is spotty. Not the right fit for business, family or romantic- a lot more options close by that would be better. My colleagues stayed in the Marriott and were better off. Would not recommend or stay again. Stay clear- don't say you weren't warned.

hotel has a good vibe,the staff is very helpful and polite made me feel important to be there. Definetly the place to be at night, good clubs,food and exellent location. There's lots to do in walking distance. Probably not for families. me and my fiance had a blast. The only knock on this place is that it gets pricey! Would stay again.

Ok, so the hotel was beautiful. Everything screamed modern, rock star and... I want everyone to know I have money. This hotel is expensive. I don't have a problem with that, the location is great and it's a very popular place. The room does not include internet ($15 extra per day), parking is $30/day (valet) and there is no breakfast of complimentary drinks (not even water). At a typical rate of $*** a night this is ridiculous. Don't expect to go here and fit in if your not on mom and dad's dime. My wife and I went to the pool bar and it was a bunch of rich kids. At one point my wife and I, along with some other people we didn't know, were politely asked to move (the staff was friendly at least) because someone had paid to sit where we were. Some young girl in the other group simply said ""how much"" and flashed her wallet as if to say ""I'll pay more than them."" The problem is we went there for a little vacation, to spend a little and have a good time, the other people there do this all the time and spending an exorbitant amount of money is nothing to them, especially when it is not theirs! In addition my wife and I had to walk outside and around the building to get back in to our room when we left the pool bar, that's ridiculous!

I dont really know what I was thinking by staying here. I guess I went for location alone, which I have to say is great. If you have kids, I would stay away from this hotel. I stayed from Sun to Sat, was on the 7th floor and still could here all the club music from the 1st floor. The staff was great, but the hotel overall not for everyone.
