  rooms were very clean. bed was very comfortable. staff was excellent. my wife and i enjoyed excellent cocktails in their lounge. i would highly recommend this hotel to everybody. excellent resturants(outback-fiddlin pig-cracker barrell) next door. conveiniant gas station across the street. We would stay here again. the flat screen HDTV is a nice plus.

  Technically this hotel is part of the ""downtown"" district but be prepared for a 45-minute walk (uphill both ways and thru a dark tunnel) to get to the heart of Asheville's downtown area where all of the cool shops, dining, etc. are. It's a fine walk if the weather is great and you have time on your hands, but don't bring grandma. Hotel is nice other than that. There is an Outback next door but why go to an Outback on vacation? Check the map carefully if you are traveling without a car.

  Very good location, you are just a short distance out of downtown and the mall is also very close. Nice T.V. and bed, room was in good shape, no odd smells, very clean. I would recommend this hotel and may stay there again, no complaints.
