My elderly parents and I traveled to Bakersfield for a one night visit to attend a family reunion. This was our first experience with a Holiday Inn. It was very quiet since we stayed on a Saturday night and this is a weekday business hotel. The entire hotel had been remodeled within the last year. The rooms and bathrooms were nice. All upgrades--new bedding, large modern TV and many towels provided. We didn't use any services except the breakfast. Breakfast was ordered and served at our table. It was adequate--nothing special. We were surprised to see that none of the surrounding tables had been bussed even though there was only one other table in the restaurant. I was half an hour before the end of service, but it still was not professional. Also, my parents like to read after dinner and there was only one bedside lamp in the room. After speaking to the front desk, a more adequate lamp was brought to our room. All in all, the stay was pleasant, the value was good and we would stay again.

We booked the Executive King Suite so we had a place for our small children to sleep while the adults were awake. The suite was larger than we expected with a door that closed to the bedroom. The living area was roughly twice the size of the bedrooom with a pullout couch. Kitchenette consisted of a coffeemaker, sink, microwave, and mini fridge... adequate for a hotel, but no gourmet meals being cooked here. Overall very nice and very big for the price, would definitely stay again.

We recently stayed at this hotel and were very happy with the accomodations. We had a suite and it was comfortable and clean. The linens were nice and they had a fitted bottom sheet, something that has been going the way of the hoop skirt lately. They also had a nice selection of pillows that were identified as soft or hard. The bathroom amenities were also of a nice quality. We visit family in the area several times a year and will be going back. The breakfast was also very good and the service fast.

On my recent trip thru California I had the chance to stay at this hotel. They were newly opened and I have to say I was very impressed with how well trained the staff was. I was expecting slow service but never received it. The resteraunt was Fantastic! The food was way better than I'd expected and the service was better too. THis hotel was new and clean and the staff was very upbeat. I'd definately recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Bakersfield!
