  I was in Santa Monica and got to check out the recently renovated/new Shangri La hotel. It is right across from the beach with great views of the SM Pier. Cool rooms with great decor, nice dining, and great pool scene. cant beat the location!

  We stayed at the Shangri-La from June 11th-15th and we had the best time! The staff was very courteous and helpful and the room's decor was very clean and modern. The hotel is within walking distance of the Pier, beach, shopping, and dining like the hotel description I'm sure says. There's even a grocery store several blocks away if you want to stock your fridge up with food (I'd suggest that as the stuff they have in the fridge is pretty pricey). For all that we got as far as a great location and room the price was a steal! I'm definitely staying there again.
