I don't normally write reviews but I had such a wonderful stay at the new WEstin Tampa. I arrived after a long flight a little tired and cranky but the front desk woman was so extremely friendly and accommodating that it actually uplifted my mood. She was the first of many people who went out of their way to make my stay such an enjoyable experience...it was five star treatment all the way. The room had absolutely spectacular views of the water and the city lit up at night. They have a huge gym for a hotel - like 6 treadmills, a ton of weight machines, and free weights. Nothing like the crowded, smelly rooms I am used to working out in! There is also a pool on the property but the only bummer is that it is an indoor pool but I did manage to spend some time on the beach area to get some color. I had half a day to kill the second day of my trip since one of my meetings fell through so the concierge suggested that I take the free shuttle to the International Mall ? hello, amazing shopping mall! I could have easily spent two full days browsing all of the designer stores! They also have a ton of food options there including this martini bar (forgot the name) that I went to later on that night. So convenient and so much fun plus the ride back with the shuttle driver was absolutely hilarious...we had a great conversation about the differences between how women shop and how men shop. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming into Tampa for a business trip or even just to get away for the weekend. I?ll be back in May!
