Not impressed

Normally I stay at the Hilton, but, saw the photos of this hotel and decided to try it out. Amenities state that they have courtesy breakfast....so does the Hilton. However, this hotel was $20 less per night. Upon arrival I see that this place is very asthetically pleasing. Very modern and "cool". Really like the ambience. However, I find out that there actually is no courtesy breakfast. So, turns out I'm not saving any money afterall....should of just stayed at the Hilton. Not only that, one of the blinds in my room is broken and cannot be opened, there is no soap in the bathroom and no information booklets regarding the hotel in the room. If you want to know anything about this place, it is up to you to go exploring or call the front desk. I went to the front desk to get basic information about services, etc. The phone started ringing while she was describing how the "grab and go" food service works. She stopped talking and said "sorry, I have to answer this". I stood there for awhile...waiting...then eventually just walked away. Overall, this hotel is very pleasing to the eye and has a nice location. Other than that, I am not impressed. I will not be staying here again.

ALoft is very hip and chic. A cool concept, and reasonably priced. The decor is very contemporary. The room is well designed to put a lot in a small amount of space. The flat panel television on the wall was great. Only a couple of drawbacks that could be easily remedied. You have to go to the bar in the lobby for ice and glasses. That wasn't a problem, but we couldn't figure it out until we called the front desk to ask. The other issue was that two containers in the shower were both labeled as shampoo with conditioner. We asked about that upon check out and were told that one of them was actually bodywash, but it was mislabeled. Front desk help was great at check-in, but a bit confused the following morning. Bottom line - a cool place to stay with a few minor problems that need attention. We will definitely give it another try in the future.

A flat screen television, fast and efficient services, and a modern, sophisticated design earned Aloft five stars in our opinion. There where, however, a few minor drawbacks; the lobby was often very busy and there was little access to your vehicles-the only entrance was the main entrance.

What a refreshing addition to this segment of hotels. This is a great place to stay if you are considering hotels like a Courtyard, Garden Inn etc. with a couple nice tweaks to make the stay more pleasant. The staff is uber friendly and helpful. The modern design provides a refreshing take on hotels. The rooms are nicely appointly, particularly with a universal adaptor for video games, DVDs that play on the flat screen. Room is efficient. The workout room exceeded expectations with towels, yoga mats and piped in music. The bar was a great place to hang out and the kids enjoyed the pool table and foosball table. Definitely would stay again.
