My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Brookstone for 2 nights. The hotel was conveniently located right off of the interstate. However, the room we had was near the on/off ramp and I found the traffic noise annoying, but it didn't bother my bf. The room was smaller than expected and we were a little cramped, but that wasn't a big deal since we only stayed 2 nights and were out during most of the day. The Internet connection was great, bed comfortable, room clean, and the air conditioner worked! In my opinion, the area is not very scenic nor close to downtown as the website might lead you to believe. The hotel is in an industrial area; it is next to a Case Equipment rental. There is not much within walking distance of the hotel except for the Family Fun Center and a Subway. Downtown is a good 15 minute drive. However, the area seemed to be safe. The staff and manager were extremely friendly and seemed to want to make sure that you had a good stay. The free breakfast was outstanding and offered more than just breads and cereals. They had yogurt, biscuits, sausage, gravy, and french toast sticks. My only complaint is the the coffee was horrible!!!! I ended up pouring mine down the drain after two sips. Brookstone does have and indoor pool and hot tub, but we didn't have time to try them out. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons, and we will probably stay here again.
