It was our (Canadian) Thanksgiving weekend so my daughter and I decided to take a shopping trip to the USA. Past experiences I have had good luck with Howard Johnson's, But not this time. When we arrived and went to check in, the girl behind the desk was more interested in trying to get the Saturday off than checking us in. When we finally did get checked in we were told to go to the back of the buidling to a glass door that was directly by our room - you couldn't get in that door!!! So we carried our luggage all the way back up to the lobby and then down the hallway to our room. The room was filthy. There was mould in the bathroom on the walls, the ceiling tiles were stained and rusted, there was mould in the fridge and food splatters in the microwave. Also when I moved a chair there was used napkins on the floor. There was a complimentary magazine on the table which I was going to look at, but when I opened the cover, dried up food fell off of it. My daughter was so disgusted that she wouldn't take off her boots and she laid her robe on the bed to sleep on rather than sleeping on the sheets. There was a complimentary breakfast included, but it was served from 6am to 9am. I understand some people are early risers, but this was a weekend and some people like to sleep in, so we missed breakfast, just as well. We were told checkout was 12 noon, but we had housekeeping knocking at our door at 10am and when they saw we were still there, they seemed put out. I will never stay there again!!! Worst experience of our lives.

I booked 3 rooms on july 26 but I got charged for 5 rooms . After I caled many times to travel and talked to your rep. and they called hotel in EREI ,PA still I didn,t get my credit. In Erie ,Pa I got one room only and I got charged for 3 room. your rep talked to the hotel mgr and put me on hold while I was in my meetings and the phone was getting cut and they had My cell # but no one called me to let me know what you did. please fix the problem before I hate Travel website co. really bad!!!!! moldy walls , moldy bathroom, filthy carpets, dirty beds (hair found on blankets, drool and lipstick marks on pillows). we tried to get out of our stay and get a refund and we were refused. we were offered a different room at a discounted price and that was the best they were going to offer. we left and stayed at a hotel down the road. it was much cleaner and wasn't smelly and it was also cheaper. if you stay here make sure you look at the room first before giving your credit card # because there is no turning back.........

THIS PLACE SPECIALIZES IN "BAIT & SWITCH" BILLING. THEY USE SEVERAL DECEPTIVE SIGN IN SHEETS AND TRICK YOU INTO SIGNING FOR A HIGHER RATE THAN THE CLERK STATES AT CHECK-IN. THEY THEN SAY YOU SIGNED FOR THE HIGH RATE THAT THEY LIED TO YOU ABOUT.
