While this was a luxurious looking hotel, it was definitely not worth high price. Valet parking costs $31 per night in addition to the high room rate I feel it should be included in the price of a luxury hotel. The room was pretty, and the view from the balcony was beautiful. However, it was lacking a few things: no bathroom fan, no wi-fi, yet there was a $10 per night charge if you want to connect to the internet via a plug-in, no microwave, no room in the mini-refrigerator which was stocked with ridiculously overpriced drinks, the light on the makeup mirror did not work, the lamps in the room turn on by a switch on the cord -- we arrived after dark, and it took quite a bit of groping in the dark to finally figure out how to turn the lights on. There was coffee in the lobby in the mornings, but no kind of breakfast. The restaurant in the hotel was extremely expensive -- we did not eat there. The bed was pretty, but not particularly comfortable. I woke up sore every morning. Just overall less than I expected for a 5-star hotel.

The hotel is not bad, very attentive front desk representatives and valet attendees. The bed is great and the view is wonderful (Harbor view). They have only valet parking which will cost you $31 per day. The carpet in the room is dated and has some stains, needs updating. The overall atmosphere is lovely. I did not look into the activities, I was there for a family function (2 days), so had no time to explore all that the hotel had to offer.

the staff at the ritz were extremely friendly and very helpful. they went above and beyond our expectations. we were even upgraded to a marina view at no extra cost. the pool and spa facilities were beaultiful and the bed extremely comfortable. a great hotel in marina del rey, and well worth the cost.

Our room was directly under the Club room where chairs were dragged noisily beginning at 6:30am and ending at 11pm. Be certain to ask!!! We were moved the next morning after complaining. Upon checkout, were told that the rate we agreed on was not correct and we would have to pay an extra $. After returning home, we photocopied the original offer to prove they were wrong and we were owed $ . Two letters were sent....still waiting for a reply. 3 ground floor elevators were not working....manager had to walk to a higher floor to activate elevators. We walked the stairs...only to find our door key didn't allow us to exit the stairwell....we felt we were trapped (but ""e caped"" several floors later)...breakfast dining room help were elusive and the bill was twice incorrectly posted. EVERYTHING costs extra...including $. internet. Valet $. is the ONLY possible parking!!! Hotel is conveniently located and beds are comfortable. We will return to our favorite ...a beautiful B&B in Playa del Rey.
