I am a very regular traveler for year, and travel approx. twice a month for business. There is only one incident where I have been most disappointed with a hotel, and that is GOODEARTH HOTEL, Perth, I am most aghast by the rudeness of the staff, and that the hotel is fraudulent in that it charged me $* for a late checkout fee, that I was not aware of. When I complained to the manager, she claimed that they called my room and informed me of the checkout time, and that there was no answer in my room, that is an outright LIE as I was in the room the whole morning. As a frequent traveler, I am well aware of the procedures of checking out times etc, however, the manager was totally obnoxious, rude and insisted that I was late checking out and that I had been informed beforehand.

  • Not recommended for a long stay.

The room was very clean and spacious when I checked in, but housekeeping don't 'clean' every day. The only thing they do on a daily basis is make the bed, empty the trash and replenish the towels. I had accidentally spilled makeup on the bathroom vanity and they simply left it. Once they took the used towels and forget to leave clean ones. The rooms come with a separate kitchenette complete with all the cookware and dishes you will ever need to provide for yourself, but you will get charged * per day if you want them to wash the dishes. The lifts were often malfunctioning and the buttons wouldn't light up, so you wouldn't know if one was coming or not until it arrived. They were very good about handling noisy people in the next rooms though, as the walls are either very thin or some people just don't realise how loud the TV is. The hotel itself is about a 10 minute brisk walk to the centre of town, but there are plenty of buses that go past that can take you where you need to go, although the walk itself is VERY pleasant. They don't have room service as such, but you can order from a room menu from the restaurant downstairs for breakfast and dinner only and they will call your room when it is ready and you have to go downstairs to collect it. They will not bring it up to you. Or you can simply go into the restaurant and order it and take it back to your room. The prices arent too bad, but they have a limited selection.
