Hotel was clean, staff was friendly. Got a basic room for hubby and I. It had a semi-private patio,a queen bed, mini fridge, and an air conditioner in the bedroom. The toilet and shower were open air but you could keep the door closed to that area to keep the skeeters out of the bedroom at night. There were not a lot of skeeters for April, but i would pack bug spray as a precautionary measure. There were also plates, bowls and silverware in the room,so it was nice to have a bowl of cereal in the morning without having to get dressed to go to breakfast. You have the option to do an all-inclusive meal plan once you check-in if you did not book that way to begin with. I did not do this since we spent a lot of time away from the hotel, but the food at Jammers was good. A meal for 2 with drinks approx $50.Hotel on a steep hill, but they do have shuttle service. Beach was nice, clean and free of people trying to sell you trinkets. Plenty of watersports with 2x daily snorkel trips. Swim area is calm since it is located in a cove. This would be a good place to stay for those with kids. Hotel about 10 min from Castries and Reduit Beach. I was most impressed with the friendliness of the St lucians and i felt safe leaving the hotel,a stark contrast from Jamaica or the Dominican.I recommend getting a Foders travel guide if you plan on wandering off the reservation. It was 10 bucks well spent. For adventurous types,Zipline in Dennery and hike Gros Piton. Hikes require a guide. Gros Piton was * cash at the door. If you book through hotel,it was * each ,including trans.

Unbelievable Honeymoon! Started when we got off the plane and the hotel had arranged for someone to pick us up without us asking. Staff was unbelievably friendly and helpful, this goes for the rest of the island as well. There is more than enough to do and they try to accomadate everything you could imagine. Restaurants are very good, except Jammers for dinner. Lunch and dinner are virtually the same. Beach was very good with average snorkeling right off shore. Didn't use the pools much but they looked excellent. Shuttles were readily available if you didn't want to take the hike back to the room. Rooms were excellent for me. They were cleaned everyday and they came to turn down the bed for you at night. They even did your dishes! They only thing that may bother some was the bathroom was open air so there were some bugs from time to time (really not bad). There were also ants, but if you have traveled to islands in the caribbean before, you would expect that. Again, they weren't bad but they were there. After reading some reviews on the internet you would expect them to be swarming, they aren't. Last, and this goes for the whole island not just the Windjammer, but you have to remember you are on island time. Leave your busy life at home and relax. They even have shirts that say LIVE SLOW. So, don't get upset when they service at restaurants is slower than you are used to. That is just the way islanders are (and I'm sure they want you to have a few more drinks while you wait too). Also, if you try to eat breakfast on your porch, expect to have a friend or 2 join you (birds). Go, You'll love it!

The resort is beautiful. The taxi ride from the airport is 1.5 hours long; do yourself a favor and fly into PR then into St Lucia. Once in the resort they have almost everything you can imagine to purchase. Activities from jet skies to yoga are available.
The 'room' was actually an entire house, 3 stories, the place fit in perfectly with the caribbean feel. If you like to eat and drink the all inclusive is the way to go. EVERYTHING is covered, drinks and food, tips extra. The food is just run of the mill, nothing spectacular just everyday fare, It is good though.
Family oriented with a day care facility. -

We had a wonderful family vacation, including the grandparents and kids - Definitely recommend a unit with plunge pool - all ovelook the ocean from the hillside... Fabulous wildlife, tree frogs everywhere, and birds of all sorts visiting the balcony. If you dive, I definitely recommend Dive St. Helen - the personal attention was great - picking us up from the resort, and providing excellent support for my son's first reef dive experience.
Dining options are terrific, as are the pools and beach... -
