The location was perfect and the staff superb. The room was spacious( we were upgraded to a suite on the 18th floor and it was a fabulous view. The room was quiet and so sunny and cozy. There was wine in the lobby at 5pm. There was a great crepe place across the street. We were on Robson, the shopping street and there was access to the big red bus hop on and off. We could not have enjoyed it better 5 star plus. Vancouver was a clean and beautiful city with good food.

We stayed one night prior to an Alaskan cruise. This hotel is affiliated with Kimpton Hotels, and we had joined their frequent guest program (Kimpton InTouch program) when staying at a Kimpton hotel in Alexandria VA in April. I booked this hotel in Vancouver through the Kimpton website - since I was an InTouch member, they matched the online price and upgraded us to a suite at no additional charge (and gave us early check-in & a nice personal note in our room from the person I had spoken with over the phone a few weeks earlier). By way of that long story, this is a good indication of the level of service this hotel gave us. The concierge was extemely helpful, knowledgeable, & friendly, the front desk staff were friendly but professional, even the bell-person was accomodating & friendly - all the while, it never felt this was in search for tips (as opposed to our experiences in other hotels). The suite was a very nice size, would've been good for a family or someone staying longer than one night. Since we had a lot of luggage, it was perfect for us. The furnishings weren't dazzling or spectacular, but it was neat & clean, well-furnished, beautiful view from our balcony, well-equipped bathroom with Aveda products, very comfortable king-size bed. Great location - right on Robson St.convenient to restaurants & shops (some upscale) and also to the cruise ship terminal. There is also a coin-operated washer & dryer, altho the laundry room isn't real charming. Family-friendly hotel - pool, fitness center, etc. We had only breakfast in their restaurant - very expensive ($13 for pancakes). They will recommend other places as options if you ask. Would recommend this hotel!

We were upgraded to the King Suite- always nice to have extra space and a kitchen area. We were able to walk to everything- shopping, great restaurant choices( check out the Banana Leaf on Denman!! Great Malaysian place), Gastown, Chinatown, Davie St...and more. This is the only hotel in Vancouver I will stay at from now on.
