Stay away from this hotel . We had a yacht harbor view and the building and rooms were so rundown and in need of updating. The first room we had was so dirty, hair all over the bathroom, cabinets falling off the hinges, rusty appliances, I could go on and on. We changed rooms but the second one wasn't much better. The maid service was terrible and the front desk staff wasn't very friendly. The pool bar and restaurant were closed down, wish we knew that before we booked this hotel. The only nice part of this stay was the beach, it was beautiful.

My boyfriend and I just returned from St. Thomas and are already talking about going back! The condo was not in the best shape but it was fine for us since we were always on the beach or exploring the island. Resort offered free use of snorkeling gear and ocean floats (foamy rafts) which we really enjoyed--we saw several sea turtles while snorkeling right off the shore! If you plan on being in your room a lot then you may want to consider another location, but if you're basically using it as a place to sleep, shower and store your stuff--it's fine. The full kitchen was nice, but we really only used the fridge/freezer to store drinks and snacks. We would certainly stay here again.

we stayed here for 4 nights, the beach was great but the pool was not available for use. the location is great as it's close to the red hook area where you can catch a ferry to the other islands. beware tho as they try to give you run down units that either doors dont close well or locks are defective. we suggests the ritz carlton or anywhere near the great bay if you have infants or toddlers as the water is very gentle. you dont get bothered by mosquitoes too as they are predominant on other beaches. Even the famous Magens bay had a lot! if you're going to coral world, beware of locals trying to let you park in their area and sell you all kinds of stuff.

The room was in need of alot of work. There was supposed to be maid service daily to clean the room and replinish towels, etc. We were there 7 days and our room was only cleaned 4 times. Because of the room not being cleaned, we would have to ask for towels and they were not friendly should you ask for anything. The staff for the most part is not friendly. The beach is beautiful, but I don't think the accomadations is worth the money you spend.

The Sapphire Beach Resort is a wonderful place for families to stay while on vacation. We have 3 children that went with us (ages, 17, 13 & 10) on this vacation and they all had a great time as well as my wife and I. The suites were very clean and cozy and the king size beds were so comfortable that we hated to get out of them in the mornings. lol.. There were all kinds of activities to do that there at our own resort from swimming, snorkeling, beach volleyball, boating, tennis and more. The beach front at Sapphire was awesome because you could just lay out on the white sandy beach if you'd like or you could go snorkel in some of the clearest waters in the world. The coral reefs right in front of the resort were as beautiful as any we seen on St. Thomas or St. John. So it's not a question of IF we'll go back to Sapphire Beach Resort, it's more like WHEN are we going back. VERY SOON I HOPE... Trust me, You'll the this place as much as our family did!!
