  Overall the hotel was good for its price. however, we did experience some unpleasant events :

  Overall the hotel was good for its price. However, we did experience some unpleasant events :
  -Ants in the room and unwillingness of the hotel to give us an alternative room. Instead they sprayed the room with insectide and this fixed the problem but an alternative room would have been appreciated.
  -At one time, after cleaning, our room was not stocked with wash cloths. We asked reception for wash cloths and were told that all the cloths were out at the dry cleaners. We had to wait until the next cleaning i.e. 24 nhours later to get wash cloths.
  -We had an issue with our TV remote and the receptionist sent a maintenance worker up to check on it. By the time he came up and tested the remote, it worked, so he proceeded to slam it down next to the TV and prance out of the room without saying a word to us.
  -The restaurant's service was very slow and the waitresses were not hospitable.
  
  The overall attitude was 'take what you get'.
  
  On the positive side, during our trip, category 2 Hurricane Dean hit the island and the hotel was very prepared with generators and water tanks so we had electricity and water when the rest of the island didn't. The manager was also very nice during the whole affair and supplied guests with ongoing updates.

  I loved how helpful and courteous the staff was. the room was very clean and the breakfast staff went above and beyond to make my experience a fantastic one.

  My husband and i wanted a quick getaway vacation. location was great - close to beach, restaurants and shopping. staff very pleasant and helpful. food good but not a wide choice. ...

  My husband and I wanted a quick getaway vacation. Location was great - close to beach, restaurants and shopping. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Food good but not a wide choice. Would stay there again.
